At first, i didn't think justinian was a good general because he wasn't specialised although he has good points in cav, range and infantry. He is amazing as a consul (only general with skill to increase diplomacy of every nation by 5 per round - makes everyone allies) which i thought wasn't important because i wasn't planning on doing auto conquests. However i realised that i will need to farm lots of golds to buy items from the shop such as units (varangian, noble cav - need upgrading), wardrums, mithril bars, recruitment and war scrolls, war gears (medical tent, support charriot - both recovers health so useful, naval war gears). All of this will cost millions of gold in the long term and conquests are the best way to get gold. You get 12.5k for finishing objectives and another 12.5k if you defeat everyone.
There are 2 conquests available to us: barbarian invasion and legend of the vikings. I tried both and barbarian invasion is easier and faster to do. In barbarian invasion, the huns will spawn in the top right of the map at round 12-13 and you will need to kill all of their units + take their cities because you can't become allies with them. The best country to pick for this is anglo saxons because they are next to where the huns spawn so you can fight them. This should take around 30 minutes with good generals + war gear (like medical tent or support charriot to heal generals).
Important to remember that you can reset the shop if you don't like the items you can buy. Follow these steps: 1) upload or save your progress before the shop is about to reset. 2) let shop reset and see what you get, if you don't like then go to step 3, if you like then buy what you want and upload 3) download and you will reset shop, will have to wait 20 minutes per download (play campaign or just do something else in the meantime)

Gytha (relation + 2 general) also exists. I bought her with gold, and she’s mediocre. I got little allies, but at least all the annoying blackmails reduced dramatically…

There are also a lot of silver generals with lobbyist, so I think whether Justinian is a good buy is a problem to think about

Justinian is not specialised which is not ideal, but atleast he has 40 points in cav, infantry or range and he has a range skill so he is suited for a counter infantry + range unit combination. He is mainly bought for consul tho for farming gold like i said but he is strong enough to be used in battle unlike the other generals with lobbyist skill

Yes! I love Justinian for that exact reason. I agree Anglos are very good. I’ve had some success with the Ostrogoths as well. For the Viking invasion, the only two reliable ones in my opinion are east and west francia. Let me know if you have any other tips for easy conquests

Let me know if you have any other tips for easy conquests well my tip is to not do viking invasion because bigger map and you need to deal with both denmark and vikings which are annoying to get to. Huns are easier to deal with. Other than that, there are no tips, just spend the gold in shop and reset the shop.

If you are JUST getting Justinian for that purpose, maybe we can wait and see how much do the two Eleanors cost, especially Aquitaine. After all 2330 is quite expensive.
