Just get basil, alfred or roland, but roland and alfred requires more investment
- all 3 generals have 1 skill that is useful for charge cav (alfred has polearm and the other has general cav skill)
- the main difference is that basil is the weakest out of the 3 - lowest endgame potential because no unique item
- alfred is good to get now because even though his unique item is worse than roland (gives administration points - useless), you can unlock noble cav from recruitment now and from the normandy campaign which gives you 30 noble cav for last mission, so his unique item that gives +30% for noble cav works straight away
- roland has the best item so he has the highest cav points, but his unique item gives 30% to speed cav which you can unlock at this stage
personally i would get basil if you are free to play, then alfred, then roland
It’s not guaranteed for a really really long time though. I agree that outburst is a lot less impactful on charge cav but you still stand a significant chance at not charging for a good portion of the game.
Probably unecessary if you’ve got Richard and his templars, but maybe a case could be made if you’re going F2P and getting him instead of Basil?
