I’m considering getting the Otto I IAP but im not sure if he’s any good.If any of you have him,is he good?

He is quite strange.
His unit - Teutonic Swordsman. However even though they are called swordsmen, they are actually axe wielders.
His skill Master Swordsman is also for swordsmen, so it is not clear whether it will be working with his special unit.
And his active skill... Guide... I can't understand the meaning of the description.

no, there is nothing special about him, and his privilege is not that useful (-40% cost of recruiting units from castle), you can't control what units you can recruit from castle so you might not get the units you want like varangians, or units specific to a generals' unit item to get the 30% damage bonus.
if you want an iap and you are wise/don't want to waste money, get richard. He is enough for now and he is the best general by a big margin. Don't get the other iaps because we don't know the privileges of future iaps (genghis, EBP, joan, william), they might be better than the current iaps except richard because hs ie the best

Maybe you can one shot lvl5 cities (but you can do this with items or the skill “tunneling”). Otto I is similar to general Massena in EW6, but I think weaker than the second one. |
