Okay. I am stuck here. If I go through the south my I lost 1 General before I can kill Waltheof (because of the narrow passage) and then all my troops die fighting against the enemy army. (Also the extra units) if I go through the center passes the same and if I pass through north, I can’t pass because all the enemy troops. I tried to improve the units (swordsmans, pikeman etc) but I don’t do better.

Oh yeah this one, prob one of the hardest campaign missions so far,
What i did was use basil, aetius and a antonita to blitz the south and kill the first gen in the south... by the time i killed him i lost aetius and had basil on one unit of cav. This is when u get some reinforcements in the south.
In the meantime i used belisarius to to fight in the north abd it just so happened the archer general came right to me and it didnt take long to kill him (although i lost belisarius in the process :/)
When the reinforcements came i just deployed Adil and Harald (on cavalry because of outburst skill... and also i didnt have any other good cav gen) and at this point all the remaining target gens will come to you. Use the cav gen to kill the infantry gen from the middle passage, and the inf gen to kill the archer gen in the south passage... maybe use a wardrum if in a pinch

First of all, how can you get past that southern general? Like I attacked once with my Alfred and it shaved off about 3/4 of his health (btw my alfred is general +duke with lvl 7 item) and then I attacked with almost maxed Aetius on lvl 5 legion brigade, but it too got wiped out instantly in 1 turn. I have tried to break through the centre and then advance onto the city, but there is too much resistance and the northern city falls. I then tried focusing entirely on the north, but then I don't have enough time, as by the time I mop up what's in the north, its already move 12 or so and my units cannot kill 2 gens+ capture a city AND having to move from north to south

Hmm you should first take out that archer unit all the way at the bottom before taking on the southern general.
Bc what happens is that while u fight the south general the pesky archer unit will constantly rain down arrows without getting retaliated, which is probably why ur generals die too soon.
I tried breaking through the north and middle but it’s just too difficult… best way is to kill the south gen, get reinforcements, and let the enemy gens come to you instead of crossing over to them

I lost almost 3 generals to kill the red target in the south and the reinforcements only made up for the number of minions and lost 2 strong champions. The narrow terrain made it impossible to destroy the enemy archers first. I switched my breakout strategy from the center of the circle to the back but was intercepted by Emma. Still at an impasse

same here, I dont have enough manpower to continue on to take the city as I get bogged down by defending troops

I wouldn't recommend going to the city yourself... Once you kill the south gen, fall back and take a moment to heal (using tents or supply cars). Use the reinforcements to take out the northern infantry gen (don't block the path of reinforcements tho lmao cuz u wont get them).
Once all the other gens are dead, the city gen will come to u... throw everything u got (dont worry bout the city as long as it's in allied hands) and kill her.
As for killing the south gen in the first place, I used aetius on infantry to kill the first minion and hurt the archer unit, once he died, i sent basil on cav to finish off the archers and then retreat if on low health- used medical tent-, I finished the gen off with my bronze archer gen supported by antonita.

I just discovered a bug. When you destroy the southern target, there will be 2 reinforcement units in 2 fixed positions. However I kept another unit there and the result still only got 1 reinforcement unit
However, I made it through this stage. Alfred did a great job activating the charge 2 times and killing the target in 2 turns

OMG I DID IT!!! You didn't have to capture the southern city as well, only kill off all the generals. Instead of having belisarius as the "Imported" general, I had alfred with charge cav and IT WORKED! This mission really shows the power of charge cav

Possible Solution:
Requirements: Alfred The Great,Belisarius,Aetius,Basil II,Theodoric I and lupicinus . (10-15 War Drums)
Alfred Adventure: I deployed Alfred and send him through the middle and kill both units (use War drums to restore his live) and then I send him through the South to attack Emma (use more War drums) then attack Waltheof with Alfred Also (then I take the city)
Deploy your Gens and send them all towards the north (put 2 Gens in the Zone where the 2 Enemy Units appear to evítate them to appear. Ones the event happens you can move them)
then send your Calvary Gen and archer (Basil and Lupicinus) to attack Ralph. And ones you have kill all. Go back to your city and kill Roger.
