I got 2k medals and idk if i should grab Cnut or Alfred or just wait for more unlocked gens...
I currently have basil and harald and both are decent although basil is slowly falling behind as the campaign progresses.
If i were to get alfred id have to grind for noble cavarly (i have 7 rn and can get 20 by exchanging everything i have) whereas with cnut i already have viking raiders

I haven't bought Cnut tho, so I don't know how he performs (Since I bought Alfred +Roland for my 2 gens- too many inf gens already). His noble cavalry bonus combined with his item makes alfred leathal. Like currently my alfred (Max rank + Duke nobility) can rake up 1000 dmg quite often. Also, you would already have an influx of infantry gens for free (Belisaius, Aetius and Ivar- on day 7 login) and in campaigns there's always 1 or 2 good cavalry units to place a cav gen on. if you have 3 good inf gens then you'd be forced to regulate one of them to a lesser unit. But I must warn you though, don't expect Alfred to be good off the go, the same with Roland if you wish to invest in him later, as you'd have to upgrade Alfred's item + rank combined with good equipment to make him a beast. Cnut can be bought as your 2nd or 3rd purchase later on, since you could get away with Belisarius and Aetius as your main inf gens for quite some time. |

have both and Harald too. They did not disappoint me. Now I'm waiting for El Cid. After I have El Cid, I will only leave medals for shop purchases and V and VI rank unit
