.. I guess I won't get any more general besides Robin and Antonia until all generals are unlocked.
This game is better than I expected, but still early stage and regarding to EW6 1914 we know that ET is able to do disruptive changes.
In EW6 I didn't bought (like all others) that one union cav general (Johnston?) for personal reasons, and I've been quite happy after that major update which allowed us to change skills.
So, what if ET do it again?
E.g. this time it felt like everyone is focusing to get that vangarian units, but may they are after a few updates we realize, that grinding them was wasting time..

Yeah, now I only buy Bronze Generals, do daily task, get daily bonus… and keep the resources for new patches.
ET they’re known for:
1. Ignore fact and logic.
2. Making changes like cheating.
3. Creating Birdcage effect (they give us so many unnecessary things: why give so many unique weapons used only by IAP generals? And why give us free Belisarius and sell his weapon…)

Of course it is  but it is like a fly in the ointment  It is like to give a new smartphone as a present to someone and not to tell a password that unlocks it Few people will be happy. |

But yes, they will force us to complete these sets by buying iap, nothing special because the game is free and they're company. But the prices are on the other hand =D |

I'd recommend that you at least buy the generals that unlock hero legend chapters as we will eventually need to get them. Also, generals like Alfred and Cnut are really good anyways.

Also, generals like Alfred and Cnut are really good anyways. buying tier 4 generals is always a good investment due to their item and you get mithril for item upgrades in hard mode and 10 tokens for their unit in each mode (waiting for el cid) |

I know they’re a company, the game is free… and understand why they did that. But I played many of their games, and many games don’t have so much of this psychological Birdcage effect. Their old games, they focus on strategy, not focus on creating this effect, I’m so nervous when they give me so many unique weapons, unique units in the early game. If I buy all those generals and they make some whole-game-changing patch…oh my @&₫+*#^¥  And I had that feeling when I bought Napoleon of EW4, bought the navy gen in EW6 1914… I’m afraid my money won’t bring me happiness  I have to be careful now. |

Despite the fact that they've split a general and their item between free and IAP a lot, they seem a lot more generous lately I'm at House of Normandy and the daily missions give me around 60-70 medals a day Free daily rewards for this month + that 1 week daily reward + letter of gratitude Proof of honor rewards are nice (now with 3 although proof of soldier is hard) They give you Alfreds item and 30 of his unit tokens for free and he's 1 of the 2 tier 4 generals able to be bought up to this point for just 1400 which isn't a lot compared to other generals Same with Cnut although his special unit kinda sux I will say theres a lot more grinding involved, specifically unit tokens Although you don't need the IAP generals in a lot of their games those generals are so op and so tempting |

The reward for the last mission of House of Normandy is 30 noble cav enlistments. |

They’re giving us more medals per day, but in the shop it cost more to buy items, there’re more items we need to buy using medals, and more generals to buy. In EW6 1914, 50 medals daily from Ludendorff was hefty… but in this version, 50 medals from Richard is just a tiny coin. About Alfred, Cnut or any other you can buy using medals, I find that they’re like the Limited/Lite version; they give you some free Lite/Limited version and show you the more powerful, tempting Full version (those IAPs), how smart! I don’t hesitate to spend some bucks, and I spent many for their IAPs, but the things they’re doing makes the game less and less interesting. I miss those chess-like playing versions. |

How are the battles in this game different/worse than the games before? Yeah, each version has its cons and pros. The skills, battle, units system of this version get changed like a big revolution; and needs time/tweaks to be perfectly balance. |
