Hi folks, another question here.
The game has the 4 tiers of generals, premiums to the bronzes.
With almost all of my premiums locked with the exception of alfred who I bought, I'm considering buying a gold general.
In some other games, like GOG3, only the top tier generals are worth buying, mainly due to their skills. (With some exceptions)
So are gold generals worth buying in EW7, or should I just stick to unlocking and buying the premiums?
Would like some input on this, thank you!

I say you shouldn't limit your general purchases on the tiers they belong in but rather their individual quality since in my opinion the tier system makes no sense, like take Justinian for example the man has the stats, rank, price, unique weapon, quality, and a full portrait like all the premium generals yet he's in tier 3. Basil and Roland might be the some of the best cavalry generals despite being in tier 3 but despite this I still recommend doing research on the general you're buying if they can last long into the game since generals are non refundable. And to butcher a quote from a certain movie "not anyone can be a good general, but a good general can come from anywhere.". |

Hmm, I see. I noticed that some T3 Generals like Justinian had exceedingly high stats, with high titles to boot, which made me consider buying them.
With your input, I think I will go after those generals, thank you for the help!

well the gold actually have many great general as many in the premium tier being locked (Only Cnut and Alfred can be bought now except if u not F2P one)
and also speaking of GoG3 ehhh some tier 3 tbh can be worth buying
also Alfred yeah tho he is premium he can be actually beaten by Roland or Basil, Cnut tho he better than Harald people say thanks to his firepower

I think only the gold generals with items are worth buying since they have access to much more potential I hope Khalid gets one in the future (camel riders aren't tied to a general yet that gives me hope even tho they're wack) |

Sometimes ET makes bad decisions when ranking generals Khalid was especially crapped on in EW5 and 90% of the purple-gold roster in 1914, ww1 had some horrendous leaders |

But they totally missed an opportunity for a "Sword of Allah" Hero Legend. they would add it, since Narses and roland has signature weapon, there will be at least 50% of gold tier generals who will have a signature weapon, IMO |

The real question is who gets the winged hussars O.o Poor eastern Europe, all the nations you play as are west Europe/Mediterranean |
