I think that in terms of damage all cavalry generals are more or less equal. I am sure that even Martel is up to the task because of synergy of his skills. But Roland is valuable to me in different respect. He has an interesting "economic" skill that might be very useful late in the game. Roland is the only one top tier general able to steal a guaranteed amount of iron. And iron is a pain to get in many campaigns. More iron means more elite units. Besides, he and Alfred have a very good "damage reduction" attribute on their special weapons plus higher cavalry stats mean more defence for cavalry too. So, in comparison to Simeon, Basil and Martel they have better survivability. Between Basil, Simeon and Martel I personally (sorry to tell this ) think that Simeon and Martel are better damage dealers because of additional 12% (with a Norman war horse 15%) probability of charge. Plus Simeon can break any opposition by a guaranteed Outburst using almost any cavalry units we have at our disposal. Basil desperately needs Templars (or at least fully upgraded HAC) to be really good. His charge probability is that of the unit, the higher it is - the better for Basil. I have my personal doubts that many players if their name is not yuanzhong can get fully upgraded Templars in an observable future. Maybe andrei will fully upgrade them one day too But other than that it is a very long way to upgrade Templars even up to level 7-8. F2P players and low spenders don't even have a single fragment at the moment. So, realistically speaking, only HAC gives Basil chance to shine in comparison to his rivals. But when his chance to charge will be 85% - those chances of Simeon and Martel will be 100% anytime they attack. It is still a huge advantage, imo. Personally I have Noble Cavalry lvl9 and it was difficult to raise it to that lvl (even HAC is out of my league for now ). Martel is a chad and deserves to be fully bulked and put in comparison with the other F2P cav general. I’ll be glad if you could post soon even a screenshot of his power Staying at the corner for costumer service ...

However yuanzhong (I follow you since you had that cartoonish pic with circle googles) we beg you to make some tests and post here the results regarding Charles Martel and the other 3. My tests are not so reliable due to my low level of mercenary units Maybe you could repeat some attacks in the first mission of Belysarius legend with lvl15 Noble Cavalry (pls, it will be so cool!)

What gens you want to check and what unit you want to use ^^!. I have Noble 15 and Templars 8 (lower lvl is impossible) but if you want I can use templars 15 HAC 15 if you require it.

It would be awesome if you could post Richard on Noble lvl15 and on Templars (2cav and 1 counter infantry legion) first. Then Simeon or Alfred, Basil II or Charl Martel (with the unique item "immortality" and a blue horse). This tests would show the real difference between a F2P general and a IAP one. Thank you in advance @youanzhong

Fun fact is that Alfred is still weaker than even Basil II on Noble Cavalry, notwithstanding the 20% unique bonus.... I think Simeon with a perfect charge on 3 Noble cavalry could surpass Alfred, being on par with Basil II

I think Simeon with a perfect charge on 3 Noble cavalry could surpass Alfred, being on par with Basil II It is because Alfred's item boosts Administration. Not Cavalry ability. As I understand they will change it and will make Alfred significantly stronger.

Another thing interesting to test is how many attempts each of them needs to achieve a perfect triple charge. Because it is more important to demonstrate perfect results on a regular basis than only from time to time. On paper Simeon and Martel should do this more often than anyone else including Richard.
