El Cid has 3 possible paths for me. First of all, Conquistador is a must. Archer: Teutonic Axemen (or Heavy Nordic), Genoese (or any archer with climb). Pure Archer: Swiss (or tier 4 counter inf), Mongolian (or Woad). Plus a lvl 3 Rhinoceros. Infantry: Varangian*2. Each have their own pros and cons, and I'm not sure which is the best. There is one more way. Exclude him from the candidates to the endgame lineup  |

El Cid's weapon the Tizona increases archer points and dmg% increase while buffing his active, ranged and infantry tactician while Nur Din's weapon is behind a pay wall so I believe El Cid will be much better in the long run. |

stoic, Well, El Cid’s Special Item is free so that is a plus. But the downside is his costs. Nur Din on the, otherhand, well his Item is not free. But his skills are much of an archer type right? And costs less..

And costs less.. I don't believe cost will be an issue in the long run. We have enough medals to buy every general we like or want. I haven't played all available conquests yet, I unlocked Salomon's treasure only yesterday and I haven't played two last hard campaigns. Yet, I bought 5 generals already and have more than 3000 medals in my vault. So, I believe, we can compare generals without keeping in mind their price. And his personal weapon is a huuuge buff. A fully upgraded weapon and a single unit of Conquistadors in a legion will increase his damage more than by 40% eventually in comparison to Nur ad-Din without an exclusive weapon. Not to say about archer points; they provide us with better offense and defense at the same time. |

Since his special weapon will increase the overall damage and archer ability we can replace Varangians with Noble cavalry. War Elephants are great too, but they are too slow for him... |

stoic, eeeeef, well thanks for your honest opinion. It makes sense since we don’t need 3 of his “signature unit” to make him viable since in a legion you only need one. Buying him, would be a boost in my archer department generals.

What if simply ignore his active and focus on pure archer legion? Knowing that outburst is one if not the best active skill to exploit and to ignore it because the general is better suited for archer legion. It is really hard. Hahaha |
