I am a casual player and value efficiency as much as possible. I plan to use Justinian in conquest as I found conquest enjoyable regardless of the rewards and buy El Cid in the next update. Currently, I only have 3845 medals although I've heard that they will give us 1000 medals again which will be enough to get both Justinian and El Cid by the next update. I wonder if buying him could hinder my progress on campaigns or whatnot. My generals are Alfred, Cnut, Belisarius, Harald, Basil, Totila, Adil, Sunicas, Gytha, Antonina, Theodora, Dihya, Athelfrith, and the F2P ones.

For me, Justinian is a must for conquests, he really helps with diplomacy a lot and he has overall decent points that helps with being used in a mixed legion

Justinian can be decent with any units and has Bond bonuses that increase your income (together with Theodora). So he can be useful in campaigns and is the MVP of conquests.
