Hi all. First, I know that you might be sick of this general question but I need some advices.
I am at Macedonian Dynasty (just entered). My generals are 1) for infantry main: Belisarius, Aetius and sub: Dihya and Adil I 2) for cavalry main: Alfred and Roland and sub: Totila 3) for archery main: Stilicho (bronze) and sub no
My generals are not many but I think I need a strong archery general I can use mainly. Can you recommend good archery generals for me? Basil II is just unlocked but I already have two cav generals so I hesitate to buy him. Do you think I still need to buy Basil first?

Farm conquest for resources until you get Chaser, while you are at it, reroll shop for varangian guards/noble cav if you see also ravenna and woad buy them too if you want(you will need tons of gold for this) . Then buy Narses and Cnut (not sure if unlocked) if you have the resources. Or if you have woad/ravenna already change Aetius to archer. Edit: If you only want to complete the chapter those free general are enough, just upgrade your generic units as high as possible.

Narses with unique equipment is recommended. In addition, I think Gelimer is the best copper general you can hire with gold. Currently, the ranged general is definitely not strong enough as a deploy candidate (unit placed in the green circle) in the campaign , so they will fight with ordinary soldiers. In that case, a general who is well-suited to them and has the skills to support other units will always help you.
It's expensive, but I would also recommend Justinian. He has a bond with Theodora, which often makes it very convenient and easy to capture.
