Anyway the best raids are El Cid and Timur raids. Both of them are F2P

I think that players with an access to Saladin's Raid have an interesting dilemma at the moment... It is obvious that Mamlukes struggle to win against Imperial cavalry. Here is an example: lvl 15 Mamlukes buffed by Wonders against lvl 7 Imperial Bow Cavalry.







But otherwise Mamlukes are still one of the best (or probably the best) units in the game. So, it is interesting to know what do players such as andrei, hrabrimalitoster, yuanzhong and other players with IAP prefer - to upgrade Mamlukes even further or to upgrade Imperial cavalry and to add it to legions. Both approaches are not without flaws, I think.
If we add a low level Imperial cavalry to two Mamelukes (or one unit of Mamlukes and Mongolian riders) then it is probably the best ranged combination right now, but, on the other hand, it is more vulnerable to cavalry and infantry attacks, because low level Imperial cavalry (or Mongolian Raiders) have a weaker defence and less HPs than legions composed of 3 lvl 15 Mamlukes.

And since the number of tickets is limited for pay players too, it is interesting to know what Raids do you prefer at the moment 🤔

Since I plan to upgrade everything
I was earlier raiding Conquistadors/Mamluks. Now with introduction of gems Templars/Mamluks. And I spend souls for Mongolian/Bow cav. The choice depends on which unit is closer to the next level

I really like how they make the game more complex without actually weakening troops players already have. Nerfed Teutons and Norse axemen were apparently a bad decision. An attempt to increase the value of new Infantry units too clumsy to remain unnoticed. But introducing Imperial Bow Cavalry was a really subtle way to force players to spread their resources thin even if they already have high level Mamlukes.

I would argue about value of +1 mobility skill. This skill is useful only in a situation when you start an attack without any movements. And it means that 1 turn before, enemy’s troops were moved right next to you and didn’t attack (In case of attack your weak archer general lose at least 50%hp). This situation is quite rare in the real game.
I’d say that IBC + Mongolians/Woad + general specific unit (with bonus) is a better combination.
In particular for Timur (no rapid march, mobility = 10), 2 IBC + Woad would  be the best combination for battles and IBC + Ravenna + Conquistadors for campaigns/conquest (for the highest mobility and dmg)

nexttimebro This combination of mine in most cases can make one move and attack 2x, except in Territory if there are Wonders that limit mobility. Attack costs 6 mobility, with MR it is 5, with MA returning +1 mobility it is as if the attack cost 4 mobility. If you have 10 mobility and you move to a square that takes away 3 or 4 mobility, you will be able to attack 2 times. Plus if you add Rhinoceros LV3 two attacks are guaranteed and with Belisarius the ability my Generals with MA+MR+IBC+RhinocerosLV3 attack even 5 times, three times if they made one move (but again it depends on which square they are moved). For Conquest, the combination with Ravenna+Conquistador is better because of better mobility and yet they are strong enough to destroy any opponent in one attack.

Can anyone who have all the IAP generals post the rewards you can get for raids after the last update? I want to know which general can give you purple gems if you do the raid. Thank you!
