There is a trick here. We have to kill a key legion to force some of our enemies to deflect. If I remember correctly it is a legion guarding the utmost western path.

I've tried attacking South first, I didn't have time to attack the northern general. I attacked north first, all my troops were dead when my reinforcements arrived |

My Cnut with lvl 12 Varangians just hacked through enemy lines like a hot knife through butter. Try to improve your generals then. |

My Cnut with lvl 12 Varangians just hacked through enemy lines like a hot knife through butter. Try to improve your generals then. I finally passed it. I bought bronze archer generals like Robert Curthose.  I also clear Hyelion and Leimochier first try  |

Now i am blocked at this level, IT is too hard to defeat Contostephanos .

You could confront the attacking enemies head-on first. This will give you a very weak army with little time to attack the emperor. |

Battle of Manzinkert , siege of Nicaea , and siege of Antioh and battle of Aegean were easy with war drums and large war drums so maybe If I will follow many war drums and large war drums , maybe I will win this level . |
