You need to use Garrison Spearmen as Narses's unique item will boost other units in the legion as well (in case at least one Garrison Spearmen is on the legion) Oh ok I see... For El Cid what do you think are the best units to use? 1 Conquistador + anything else? Dunno. It depends on the team. There is no ultimate answer. I don't use him. I use his unique weapon with Lancelot. He is much better archer in my opinion because of the Rapid March. |

Indeed El CID is a good alternative to Harald Hardrada (or even a better version on land).

Mamluk, Ravenna, Genoese, Dragoon Woad Conquistadors. who da heck likes Elephant Archers Are elephant archers actually good? I converted all their fragments into souls for my Templars  Elephant Archers have *auto corrected* low damage. But very tanky good for Robert Curthouse |

Not using El Cid is a was. The man can deal up to 1800 damage with the right set of units on par or even higher than even the best charge cav gens. It is not as straightforward as it seems to be. In terms of damage El Cid is an excellent general, but damage is not the whole story in ET games. The most important thing is, so to say, to be in the right place at the right time  . So, the speed and multiple attacks of Lancelot can compensate to a certain extent the pure firepower of El Cid. I would say we should have both at our disposal to solve different puzzles on the battlefield. |

Belisarius give Desperate Wager to Narses, and they at bond, Theodora give Calmness to Belisarius and he can give Desperate Wager second time, and he can use Formation and attack 3-4 at first turn, this is useful in King Solomon's treasures missions even without drums, he is good at defense after first turn, but highly likely he will die after first turn, like kamikaze, son of the beatch. PS. Only at last stage, of Solomon's treasure he is not so good, because elephants 15 level are very healthy and tanky, even archers. I play without any drums, and 40 level and above are very hard for my units now. But for other generals even harder, except El Sid. |
