So farI have Messe, Leeb, Guderian, and Konev, and I’m planning on replacing Messe with Rommel and getting a navy gen in the form of Nimitz or Kuznetsov, although is there anything else I should bring into consideration? As well, I’ve made it to WTO 6 (haven’t done any NATO missions yet) without a navy general, would a air/something on land hybrid work better?

Nimitz is usually the best pick if you don't have Yamamoto or Donitz for their ludicrous asking price, but Nimitz needs to be pumped up with medals to make him efficient due to his skills as an incentive. Kuznetsov is also a great choice early on due to his rumor ability.

The other most popular endgame generals you haven't bought are Rommel, Donitz, and Arnold. Rokossovsky and Yamashita are also top level.

I have 11 gens. Messe, Guderian, Konev, Rommel, Leeb, Rokosovsky, Kutznetov, Nimitz, Donitz, Arnold and Rundstedt. I just need to upgrade most of them a bit more.

Donitz, Dowding, Guderian, Konev, Yamashita, Rommel, Leeb, Yamamoto , and Rundstedt. Most except for Guderian are at Cold War promotion. Yamamoto is a decent hybrid if you put him on a artillery in a city. but he does cost nearly 3k medals.

Rommel, Nimitz, and then maybe an infantry. Mainly just for invasions

acursedbitter, If you want a cheaper navy option (to do for the Nimitz missions), go for Kuznetsov. 3rd best naval general (perhaps) in the game. Also, get Arnold and Rommel. Feel free to sell Messe. Get an infantry general, too. Choose either Rundstedt (mediocre skills except Guerilla, but u can add 2 slots, I suggest Raider + Infantry Leader or Raider + Rumor), or Yamashita (better skills but more expensive, I suggest adding Guerilla + Infantry Leader or Guerilla + Rumor)

acursedbitter, my suggestions would be to prioritize in getting Rommel and Dönitz in that order. Kuznetsov is also an alternative. Try to stick to Messe until you can get Rokossovskiy. Then you should just focus on upgrading them until you finsih the game until Hudson Bay. Infantry generals won't help much until that, Konev will do the job in invasions. Once you need Hudson Bay, you'll need one, and possibly an air general at some point. I'd suggest Mannergeim for infantry and Arnold for air.

I am considering purchasing a 12th General and have by category: Messe, Guderian, Rommel and Rokosovsky Konev, Leeb Kutznetov, Nimitz, Donitz Rundstedt Arnold.
Frontier and Domination missions (Dawn crisis 4, Panama Canal)are tough so am considering generals that could help there. Graziani? Yamamoto? Maybe even Yamashita or possibly even Mountbatten as an upgrade in case I decide to drop Kutznetov.
Adding that only Guderian and Konev have skills at lvl 4, rest are below. Undecided, need suggestions please.

Me personally, I would upgrade what you have. You have a great lineup, now get them to the top

I'd say your choices are golden. You're covering the bases of each invasion, it's a good spread of choice (Tank3, Art2, Navy1, Infantry1) for scenarios
Just upgrade their skills
