I have a good laugh at some players lost their temper and swear left and right in discord for Tinchebray so decide to make a walkthrough for it using my setup for f2p. I haven't updated the game, so all recruitable unit are max as of chapter 7. Noble cavalry is at level 6. Use drum frequent to keep unit HP at max. imgur.com/a/xsuQTHB

Haven't even beaten it on normal, imagining that on hard, oh My, i could already hear my 200 drums screaming at me lol. There is no need for despair. I completed both without using a single drum Just keep trying and you'll find a suitable strategy. The key figure is our "special guest" - a general we deploy at first turn with our HQ troops. Try to level up his troops as high as you can. For f2p players there are, in my opinion, 3 best candidates (maybe more). 1. Cnut the Great with Varangians. This guy knows everything about absorbing damage and he hits like a truck simply hacking everything around him. Plus he can debuff key targets. 2. El Cid with 3 archers or one unit of Varangians (or Noble cavalry) and two archers. El Cid is the best f2p counterattacking champion I've seen so far. Just put him on a front line and every enemy will pay dearly for attacking him. 3. Narses with one unit of spearmen (best of all Garrison spearmen) and Woad Raiders plus Ravenna crossbowmen. Not so good as El Cid in defense, but with his triple attacks he can clear up the way for your other generals. Obviously you have to protect your best general in campaigns, so, in my opinion lvl 2 (better still 3) medical tent could be very helpful.
