So I'm quite stuck here. My generals are Alfred, Roland, Belisarius, Narses, Charles Martel, Aetius, Totilla, Adil and other bronze generals. What should I do? I preferably wouldn't buy a new general, I'm saving for El Cid

I preferably wouldn't buy a new general, I'm saving for El Cid My Roland was able to break through the middle with War Axe Cavalry, not sure if others can do the same. Belisarius and my Alfred/Aetius can break the south and move up, and I could end the campaign in the north, just barely before a northern collapse. Mission was relatively easy for me, but that's just me. If you have Noble Cavalry Alfred, you can spawn him in instead of Roland. I think you can do it with your good generals. I think that your best generals can try to break the middle, while your next best generals try to hold/break the south, with your middle group going south to take the city, then going north to kill the last general. That was my strategy, not sure if it was yours too. I had Roland, Alfred, Justinian, Belisarius, and Aetius for this. I filled in extra spaces with bronze generals, like Adil.

I used Basil II, Cnut, Narses, Roland, Lupricanus, and John the Armenian for this campaign. Remeber that you don't have to take any cities in this level, u only need to destroy the units. Send two units north to block the enemy reinforcements spawned behind the northern city, once the enemy speaks dialogue you are welcome to use the northern troops to kill and defend the city from the enemy generals. Meanwhile, have the rest of your army take down the southern target. I focused on destroying the archer stack in the south right after destroying the stack blocking it, as it deals a shoot ton of damage. I had to sacrifice Basil II to take it down. Afterwards, I used Cnut to take down the target unit in the south and reinforcements spawn after you destroy it. Lure the general in the city out and destroy her with all your forces and you should be able to complete this level.

That being said, do you have any advice on next battle, battle of bremules? I was trying pretty much everything that I could think of, and still after 6 tries, I can't pass it

I was trying pretty much everything that I could think of, and still after 6 tries, I can't pass it I used William and Aetius to hold my city and used the rest of my army to march south. Then after killing Louis, I marched north do deal with other William. Same lineup as last time but now with Simeon.

Just Cnut because El Cid is extremely expensive. I agree. The main things you want gens for is to unlock Hero Legend, and Harald doesn't do that.

Just Cnut because El Cid is extremely expensive. Yes, El Cid is the most expensive general, for now.
