I think we can achieve rank challenger before 01.07 without spending a lot of medals.

I start to see days, when ET doesn’t let me fight again weaker or equal teams I leave 1 stack for defence for easy win of someone My legion is around 60k points or something But starting fight 3, I may have only 100k opponents And it’s not possible to change preselected opponents, it’s a loop from ET

That’s the point how to change opponents? when I change with button, it’s a predetermined loop with around 20 opponents but can be that 18 are much stronger than you

yuanzhong , how did you leave a full garrison of 12 gens with 0 defensive power? In replay of my defend battles, my power always at 0 . Don't know it's normal or not. My power is 161k. And only he attacked me since I tried using my full team to defend. I think others see my real power, not number 0.

Then if you are at gold rank you should find opponents at your lvl. If you still struggle, upgrade your units. And don't rush, you have 20 turns. At the beginning, advance only by one tile, to see if the enemy goes after you or if they don't move. Take out the enemy one by one. I always use Cnut to debuff strong archer generals, with Theodora to reset his skill. In 20 turns it would be possible to do this 3 times for 6 debuffs (it usually doesn't take so much effort, though). I disagree with the movements. Along the border of the deployment areas lies the last tile of the nearest units in most cases. Skip a turn and if set to Attack, these border guards will move towards you. If not, approach them, leaving two tiles' distance. Those on Patrol will charge. If not, they are set to defensive. Close in to destroy them. Aim to attack enemies with two border tiles that are clear of nearby enemies. If not possible, make sure to finish them in one blow or cripple them such that your counterattack will follow their suicidal attack. I try to implement, but sometimes my opponent just uses shitton of bought generals with clearly bought units, and no matter how I bait them, they are gonna nuke my unit, I use as a bait. Thank God, I finally got more lucky in it, as I started to see less p2w generals

If by current rank you mean my army points, then I can say, that if I count full three regiment generals, I'd say 35 k points, if position in territores, then golden rank. It's quite hard to win any battle, when I fight with even three or more p2w generals with all these crusader units, that vaporize any of my general on touch. But when I try to attack them, I can barely scratch them. I don't know what hits the hardest, the generals themselves or the fact, that their units are usually two or three levels higher(sometimes more) than mine. Then if you are at gold rank you should find opponents at your lvl. If you still struggle, upgrade your units. And don't rush, you have 20 turns. At the beginning, advance only by one tile, to see if the enemy goes after you or if they don't move. Take out the enemy one by one. In 20 turns it would be possible to do this 3 times for 6 debuffs (it usually doesn't take so much effort, though). I try to do that, but my main problem are cavalry generals, they hit too hard, even if I bait them from 2 tiles away. I didn't have as much problems with archers, don't encounter them as much

And there is the wonder Black forest which reduces the strength of enemy charge cav.

I find that Baldwin IV is quite a good tactical piece here, especially if the enemy uses the Pyramids wonder.
Move Balwin first to a desired spot, swap places with a DPS gen (like Harold Hadrada or Alfred) and swap in again if possible.

That is the whole briliance as Baldwin. I am building him to be my tactical master in campaing. I intend to give him regular melee cavlary units from the city, constantins hammer that will give him one extra mobility and than leap acros the battlefield and provide heavy hiters 2+ hits.

I simply only leave two legions in territory defensive. Defensive is quite void because most of the time your opponents will have 20k to 50k more power than you, guaranteeing that they will defeat you.

Is there any advantage on going tryhard on defence? You don't lose trophies, and although not known, there's no tracking or usefulness on being avoided or winning a defence.
You lose the up to 4-5k gold you can store? Or not even? There's no achievements for successful defences nor they count towards the achievements of number of successful attacks.
I have Aiham defending on its own my base, well, rather on the frontier ready to be sacrificed haha. Like there's no appeal to tryhard on defence, just build stuff for unlocks and achievement rewards but isn't it pleasing when you can just win on a single move in round 1. If you take advantage of them, you should also give in and do likewise, IMO. Until ET does smt that does incentivise doing solid defences and people stop gifting wins.
