stoic, they could be an easy kill ones where arrow/artillery towers are easy grabs. You would never know if you don't scout their territory. Of course they could also be bot accounts...

It could be an upset like the one I made against a ~100k opponent who was 1.5× stronger. On the other hand, it can also be a trick by those who wish to win easy defensive battles, using that flag to lure in weaker players, or actual white flags whose armies are simply too powerful to overcome without extensive effort, luck and skill. It comes down to determining what decides our daily match-ups. |

The guy hasn't any intention to leave the turrets and archertowers, so that it is a bloodbath rather than easy 2 coins.   |

Thank God that you can retreat without panalty 🙂 I would understand that people do such things for some kind of reward, but this is just mean.

Today I'm try 2 this "players" >120k white flag, all was bots with traps, yesterday I don't see this. And today I see many bots with black flags. Dirty play from ET I guess. PS. You can't beat some of them without retreat, if you lose, you can use save/load. |

Not that it would make any difference if I chose to fight this person in either case, but ET's system keeps causing the power values to fluctuate.
A person marked as possessing ~92k power on the battle logs screen and the selection screen actually possessed ~97k power because of 11 or 12 full legions of lvl 8 Mameluks.
If I saw the actual power of 97k, I would've avoided this player and a crushing loss, ignoring my appalling strategy and deployment.

my power is at 106k but my enemies are 110k+ power. only 2-3 are free wins these days.

PS. My power around 110k I think, but I can beat many guys who have 130k, if they real and f2p. Bots, cheaters and p2w of course we need to skip if they not white flag. |

Territory mode is absolutely horrible. It's an obnoxious grind and timesuck. I was sick of it after about a week. I have just taken to dropping a single low level troop to help the others out.

Unfortunately, things will be even worse eventually. My offensive power is 165 k at the moment and I lost only a couple of battles, but I see the pattern and I don't like it at all. If someone constructed all important wonders, the prospect to beat such Territory is rather slim, because bonuses of level 3 wonders are really huge. And I see more and more players with lvl 3 wonders. My only advantage (the level of my Cataphracts and Varangians) is only temporary. And I fully understand that a Territory defended by lvl 15 units (often Mamlukes and Templars) together with lvl 3 Wonders and lvl 5 Turrets will be a graveyard of my elite troops in the future.
Offensive bonuses of the new update are a real joke. Quite often I have a choice between defence of counter infantry and dodge of foot archers.

After 2 hours of waiting for the game to load up my opponents, I finally managed to complete today's 5 battles from Territory Mode. And it is the first time where a majority of players in my battle selection are not 150k+ bots.

They should probably compensate players for this inconvenience. Perhaps, there are some who didn't play Expedition yet and today is the last day of the current Expedition. |
