Only for Kliment Jefremovitš VorošilovI salute thee, dear friend and neighbor! My name is Theron, of the city of Acragas. You have doubtless heard of my victory in the Olympic chariot race.
It is my good fortune to share a border with so wise and illustrious a ruler, and I consider that it will be mutually beneficial to come to an understanding. Be it known unto you, that I have no designs upon any of your territories, indeed I desire only the closest friendship and cooperation, and therefore I lay open to you my innermost desires.
My city, as you know, is ruled over by the cruel tyrant Loki Odinson. But it has been revealed to me by the Oracle that I am to liberate my city and become its ruler, and it is my divine mission to bring this to pass. Indeed, my desire is to unite all of Sicily under a single crown. Alas, my forces are too weak to face the vile Loki alone. I ask therefore for your assistance. Of course you will expect something in return, and I am prepared to negotiate. I could offer, for example, to raise a part of my army, should you require, to assist you in your wars. Naturally, any such agreement will also include unrestricted access and preferential treatment for your merchants. What say you? Only for Theron of AcragasOh yes, I have heard of you and your victory from the old and wise Lucumo of Vetulonia. He is wiser than many and knows alot others don't - results of chariot races and much other about you Greeks as well as much about other nations and peoples, although I don't believe you are interested in the old and wise Lucumo of Vetulonia.
You, Theron of Acragas request aid from the Rasna to fight against Loki Odinson, the tyrant of Syracuse and Gela, promising you only want good for us and the people of Acragas being told by the great Oracle that you will liberate your dear city? How do you fit the interests of the Rasna into this?
Lars Porsenna, the greatest of the kings of Clusium still bitterly remembers how Cumae came to the aid of his Latin enemies an the old and wise Lucumo of Vetulonia still remembers how the Etruscan army was destroyed in Cumae 24 years ago. Why should we help you?
Even if you, Theron would promise to make up for the crimes of Cumae, the Lucumo of Vetulonia knows one truth better than others, Lucumo is a king of peace, so why should the kings of peace support your war?
If your answer are satisfactory, I will non the less consider joining you. Only for Kliment Jefremovitš VorošilovI greet you again, esteemed neighbor, with apologies for my temporary incapacitation. It would seem that the agents of Loki Odinson made an attempt on my life with poison, which was, inevitably, unsuccessful, for that which the Oracle foretells must come to pass. Not fun though. My warmest greetings to the old and wise Lucumo of Vetulonia, for whom I have a great regard. May the hairs of his beard never fall out.
It is a fact most unfortunate that there have been misunderstandings between our nations in the past. However no man, not even the very old and very wise Lucumo of Vetulonia, can bring back the word that is spoken or the deed that is done. It is therefore my only desire that the deeds of the future should erase from memory those of the past.
The aged Lucumo, whose wisdom exceeds even that of the Oracle, cannot have failed to see the many dangers that surround us. Across the Great Sea lies Karchedon. To the east, Persia. And while our armies are divided, in our very midst the same Latins plot and dream of empire. Only in unity can we hope to survive. I ask for your assistance and protection. In exchange I place at your service ten thousand men, for you to command. I offer you my spears and my oars. I trust that the esteemed Lucumo, who is truly both old and wise, will see the advantages of this offer for both of our nations.

Theron of Acragas, I'd like to have an alliance with you. For the Greek states to survive, we have to join forces. Also, what are the alliances?

Theron of Acragas, I'd like to have an alliance with you. For the Greek states to survive, we have to join forces. Also, what are the alliances? Greetings. Tempting as your offer is, there is one obstacle which is, I fear, insurmountable - the fine polis of Acragas, my home town. The Oracle has said that I am to become the ruler of my city. Then while you, o Loki Odinson, sit in the seat of the tyrant, how can there be friendship? How can there be peace?

So, is Acragas my capital or something? It's a random city-state in southern Sicily that happens to belong to you because you claimed the Dorics before I could, and therefore we have a casus belli. I'd say Syracuse makes more sense as your capital, but these larger Doric and Ionic states aren't really true to history, which makes the concept of a capital rather difficult.

Only for Manfred von Richthofen and Eugene V. DebsI think it's now time to attack Persian garrisons in Thracia. Also, if you don't mind, I'd declare war on Boeotia because 1. They sought friendship with Persia. 2. It would start a new war which would make the RP more interesting.

I cannot take warnings of a Latin empire very seriously from someone who helped them no less than 8 years ago. Even if you could make me believe in you, you can never make the people of Clusium amd Veii believe in a supporter of the Latins amd even less likely can you make the people Caere and Populonia believe in the Cumaeans.
The Lucumo of Vetulonia thanks you for your greetings, but he cannot accept to help you wage war in Sicily, it is something a Lucumo could never support amd neither will the other cities.
Out of role: Basically, I don't have anything against an alliance with you, but if you're allying with Loki aswell, there will be nothing happening in Italy if we are all just allies.

Only for Kliment Jefremovitš VorošilovAlso out of character: As you may have seen, I didn't exactly receive Loki's offer with great warmth. I don't want the game to be "everybody gang up on Persia". Although historically it would make more sense for me to ally with other Greeks, my idea was to align with Carthage or the Etruscans to create a viable third faction.

If you don't mind, I'll actually change the intial amount to 6000 since I just read a trireme could transport 200 hoplites and I have 30 of them in the Aegean.

10 triremes set sail from Populonia carrying 2,000 hoplites. They will arrive in Corsica by next page. 50 triremes carrying 10,000 hoplites from Clusium set sail from Caere to Campania (southern Etruria) once they get there by next page they'll sail back to Caere and ferry 10,000 more from Caere and arrive in 3 pages from now. In Potidaea the 30 triremes disembark, they will avoid Persian fleets at all costs. The army in Potidaea storm the city and start preparing to defend. Shrimant Peshwa Madhavrao Bhat

Only for Kliment Jefremovitš VorošilovDo you need support in Thracia, because otherwise I'm going to attack from Ionia. I was already going to do it before, but Sparta looks inactive for a while, therefore we would and probably will be alone in our fronts for now.
