Hi. i started playing gcr bc of the long wait for ew7 update but now i think i have enough medals for 6 high tier generals and to start arena battles.
Who are the best built f2p generals for arena?
as i have read everywhere its tough and not all gens from camapaign hold up in arena.
please leave your recommendations.
6 gen line up first. and maybe full 10 lineup for later.

Well, you'll need probably 8 to win on higher levels in normal arena. As for the generals, firstly - obviously - Commander; perfect skillset and aura buffs. Then, Vercingetorix, Belisarius and Mithridates VI are a must because they are arguably the best generals on their unit type excluding IAPs and Commamder and they all spawn on a great unit. Then, Pompey, Huo, Drusus and/or Octavian are great too. For the last slot I'd get Drusus/Octavian, Commius, Bato/Burebista or even Hasdrubal because of war elephant, however focus on the 7 first suggestions. |

Must Have:
1) Commander - Aura Buffs
2) Vercingetorix - +50% against Archers by unit, +20% damage due to Weapon type (against all heavy armored) + 24% from Eagle Cohort (woad raiders are the only units on which it works in arena), strongest infantry unit
3) Belisarius - +50% damage against Enemy Infantry by chariot, cavalry unit (multi attack)
4) Mithridates - +50% damage against Enemy Cavalry
Great unit (depends on enemy setup, which
5) Pompey - commander + shield wall
6) Huo - got (one of) the strongest cavalry units
7) Burebista - same unit as Vercingetorix, great against archer enemies, archer killer!
Fill the lines ... personal preference
Oktavian - commander skill is better in arena than high moral. Skills dont require moral item
Hasdrubal - tank, but slow and not much damage
Drusus - always high moral, and for big lineups there arent enough
Scipio - no moral item for skills needed
Bato for survival

My F2P lineup which reached level 30 yesterday:
Commander (maxed cav) - 5 stacks
Pompey - 5
Octavian - 3
Mithy - 2
Vercy
Belisarius
Huo - 3
Arminius - 3
I don't remember how many stacks for Vercy and Belisarius, I think 4 for both, maybe 5 for Vercy. All at Consul rank and Governor in Way of Honor by the time I got to level 30.
Guard badges are a must. Riding Master for cavalry, especially Commander and Belisarius. I have Defence Formation on archers. Eagle Cohort is great, especially for Vercy because so many enemies are heavy armored.

I think you may find by later levels that Anthony, Agrippa, Aetius and Drusus don't give the firepower you need. You can manage with one or two suboptimal generals, but four might be a bit much. I'd get at least Belisarius who is the best F2P cav general anyway. |

And since i starter to play arena i am folowing Belisarius . |

I know, I used to be a Drusus disciple and I still love the guy, but that commander skill can be huge. RNG dependent, but then you are RNG dependent anyway by later levels. Having said all that, I'm really just arguing on principle 😀 Drusus is passable, even if not the best. |

This is mine Archer: Surrena Mithridates VI Both will be good help against Cavalry tho ehhh most of the time they instead attacking Infantry dont ask me why Drusus Octavian Tanky archer who ehhh if lucky might provide support for Surrena Mithy Cavalry: Huo beast of 1 v 1 high crit replaceable with Hannibal Belisarius Second best cavalry general, if only he more oftenly attack Infantry instead of Cavalry i will find him very useful tho now i use Han Xin instead of him Infantry: Vercin the best solution for when fighting Javelineer and Legionary just he instead always attacking the Heavy cavalry Pompey ehhh because Pompey |

Does Premium Arena give anything more? more / different rewards more points etc... or is it simply that one can deploy more generals... but also fights more gens?
