I am on The IX chapter of The Burning crusade
have left both the VIII and VII chapters hard missions
Generals
Basil II
Alfred
El Cid
Cnut
Belisarius
Roland
Aetius
Still have 1227 medals for buying gens and 2703 gold
I only achieved one hegemony till now with the anglo saxons S tier
But now am stuck as can't upgrade my units so I need help on what to do now

Hmm, it is difficult to stuck in this game. Almost every aspect of your progress depends on gold, and gold is farmable. There are several decent ways to farm gold. Some of them require players' attention, some are semi/automatic. With gold it is possible to upgrade your units and to improve your generals, and to move forward this way.

and all hegemony runs since you already pointed out that you havent finished conquest yet. it will give you the conquest triumph rewards which are amazing and also progress you in PoH-conquest...more rewards
just do the easy once first and equip all the generals with the free items you gained from hegemony wins to progress further

I see then please tell me the way to grind gold Repeating conquests is probably the most efficient way. There are several options already mentioned above. Anglo-Saxons are probably the easiest way because it's enough to put Cnut in the city and just to click "next" all the time after that. If you don’t have time for that, I would say Ostrogoths are close to be an autoconquest. Just deploy your best generals and hope for success  Success rate is 70-75%.    |

AI can recruit more troops without the penalty of less income. but honestly if you are playing them for the first time actually play them  auto doesnt work with all countries. edit: stoic you mean east anglia not saxons right? |

k thanks for the help bois will come in a few days to tell the result
am currently on the West Francia Hegemony round 35 the vikings and danes about to die, also Am allied with alba and East francia so only the gaelics are left
Edit: got S tier in 42 turns even faster than the anglo Saxons Les go

higly recommend strategist skill as consul if you do autoconquest. basil and others have it. AI can recruit more troops without the penalty of less income. but honestly if you are playing them for the first time actually play them auto doesnt work with all countries. edit: stoic you mean east anglia not saxons right? If you have economic problems in campaigns or too many opponents in conquests it makes sense to purchase a couple Justinian/Theodora. If you feel that your troops have insufficient level for your current missions, it makes sense to purchase mercenary orders, because we still have a 50% discount. |

OK, I'd recommend trying hard mode or trying to get some more hegenomy. Also maybe try territory. It isn't the fastest but it works, eventually
