The Byzantine goal is to charge headfirst towards the SE base, thereby dispersing the Arabs and foiling the Arabs' plans.
The Arab goals are to defend against the Byzantine charge, cut off and lay siege to the SW city and driving the Byzantine forces out of the area.
The Arabs will encircle the SW city and Theodore's forces, while his troops will charge straight into the Arab centre.
Here, the various commanders should do well in eliminating his entourage, isolating the general.
Heraclius will assist by leading men towards the Arab right, reinforcing Theodore's left and bypassing our NE city. Heraclius's troops will form a two screens, one line west of the NE city to block our advance and another directly east of his NW city. You should stack troops and break down his screens. Don't pursue too deeply given that a tight defence will repulse them. Then, push towards the SW city while leaving around two legions to mop up stragglers or head towards the NW city.
Once your allies are freed, they will assist. Surround and defeat the gens as they fall back upon the besieged SW city. Take the city and march on the NW city.

sorry but i have a question what is NE , SW ,NW? North East, South West, North West. And if it's not easy to visualise, the top right city (which you start off with), bottom left city (Theodore's) and top left city (Heraclius').

OK, you need to place narses, belisarius and aetius onto the ebst archer (narses) cavalry and infantry (belisarius) and infantry (aetius), now, your going to Wnat to either wait till the byzantine rush your ally, or go straight for the city and cut off that offensive. 2nd is riskier but you could save your ally for longer. After your capture the city attack the northern point, its usually un defended and easy to attacl
