The problem I had when I played it for the 1st time was that my units where not that strong yet for getting 3 star win.
Ofc grading your units by components, chips and general skillz will help you make it easier. Moreover, art, tank, air upgrade will help too,
I did not use them but you can make it easier using cards like health, paratroop, oil etc
Attack strategy. Focus all your troops to the airfield in the right top and the tank base. Get those, regroup, train some units and attack final base on ground and by air. I did not needed to defend airfield from allie when i played the 3 star victory
Btw: some levels will not be a 3 starimmediatly.. You first have to continue with next levels to become stronger
