Horus, the god of war, has gained the power of the underworld - whatever that means - and now the Egyptian territories are in jeopardy. What's even worse, Ptolemy, the greatest general in the history of EasyTech games, has joined Horus and Pothinus with him.
To get 3 stars, you must hold 2 key cities in Egypt, defeat 2 key units which are Horus in Syria and an altar on Cyprus, and finally and most importantly, capture 4 key cities.
For this level, you can deploy 9 units with a budget of 3000 honour. The grids where you can deploy units on are divided into two rows of 4 and 5 grids. On the eastern row of 5 units, you should deploy an attacking group including your best offensive generals (for example Vercingetorix, Commander, any IAPs you have etc.) and preferably atleast the Terracotta Warrior and Behemoth. The western row should include your secondary/defensive generals since they will defend the coast from Pothinus' fleet.
The strategy is simple, the western group will defend the coastal key city and the eastern group will move north throubgh Phoenicia and Syria.
End of turn 1: Red is the offensive group and blue is the defensive. The red group destroys the altar in front of them and the blue group spreads on the coast to prevent Pothinus landing. The small enemy group in the west isn't a big danger and can be dealt with by a single general. However defeating the main enemy group while they're on water will make beating them really easy.
For the next few turns, the blue group will continue to hold off the coast from Pothinus, except one general - Belisarius in my case - who will defeat the small group in the west.
The red group will help Cleopatra to wipe out nearby units and then move to the first key city.
Seems like Serapion skipped his geography lesson, since he's calling Cyprus 'that island'. But he will seriously launch an attack on 'that island'. You can help him with a few units from the blue group, but since you have 24 rounds, it's not necessary yet.
While the blue group continues to hold the coast and sink the enemy fleet, the red group should advance north, capturing the cities and wiping out all enemies (remember to use attack and armour types to your advantage).
After 2 cities you will encounter Horus. Not only that but my biggest fears are true and Ptolemy, the real god of war is there in the final city. Luckily Horus is probably the weakest of the super monsters and killing it shouldn't be a big problem.
Also, after the enemy fleet in Egypt has mostly been defeated, you can start moving a few units north to Cyprus.
After the red group has wiped out all enemies and secured the cities in Syria, they can join the attack on Cyprus. On Cyprus, don't attack the Anubis before destroying the altar or else your allies could capture the last city and you wouldn't get 3 stars.
After destroying the altar, simply kill the Anubis and capture the city. You'll have plenty of time to do that.
