Sadly, we are still unsure on which are the triggers for some of these invaders.
I was playing Bulgaria in century of iron and rurik dynasty appeared when i conquered constantinople, nicomedia, and some other byzantine cities in greece (this was on turn 11) so maybe ruriks will appear when a certain amount of byzantine cities fall to bulgaria?

also princess sophia from the login rewards has lobbyist level 2 as well She is a solid free replacement if you didnt buy the Proof of Honor bonus rewards, which give you Justinian's unique weapon.
However, you should still buy Justinian and Theodora as deploying them can allow for a big income increase and specially a juicy technology +2.
Will add her to the guide as its worth considering.
OFC, there's the super IAP choice now also, Charles VII, which not only has all passives being consul oriented, but also can get the highest admin points without items AND his active is not really an active, but another consul oriented passive. He is THE god within consuls. Will add him as well, although I doubt to ever be able to test him myself, nor his unique weapon.

Who's the invader on downfall of byzantine conquest and at which turn will they appear? Timurids ( Not really kinda close though) and Genoese mercs Anatolia and the black sea respectively The Genoese mercs from the Black sea appear only after you beat the Timurids looking army there also is the Vlad 3 succession event. Sb know if its a fixed turn?

Is it me or Downfall of Byzantine conquest seems kinda broken?
- Wallachia doesn't move or attack basically, even if they are in war with other nations.
- Morea also doesn't have ships so they don't move.
- The general in Rhodes island is a statue. (no pun intended)
- Hungary fights a bit in the south then just moves in circles on the top of the map.

Honestly having played only as byzantium [81], hungary was VERY helpful and went all the way to east anatolia eventually. They had great unit spam actually. Agree with everything else you pointed out.

Okey, so finished my take on the new Conquest, feel free to comment.
First and foremost, thankfully we dont have Papal States here, they were a real nuisance for title achievements, as they often required Rome, and their constant non belligerency against everyone made them just very annoying and kinda useless.
I added a special interactions section in the guide, but I didnt add any of these quirks as I hope they get fixed and they're not intended. From the recent 4 dots comments: Wallachia indeed seems to be stuck after the trigger that happens with Moldavia, in which they soon become allies, and Moldavia is the one actively attacking while Moldavia just gathers and gathers troops. Morea is super useless indeed, like Wallachia but since way earlier. The general is never given a ship and because of this, is indeed stuck there, also making the city not able to produce units, so they rely on Cyprus. Hungary doesnt get to be very useful for its supposed role of countering Ottoman hegemony in the Balkans. And from turn 20 onwards, it will start getting eaten by Venetians and Moldavians.
I didnt like that they were only two invaders, one being quite weak and random relations (like they're only at odds against only half of the factions, making also weird situations like them going through Constantinople and Crusader fighting with the Ottomans like "dont mind us, we're just travelling through" and the other being very powerful yet joining quite late and starting very isolated from most of the action (Balkans)

Hey just some experirence on the latest conquest map. Your order seems legit but i think it changes drastically when you go for the challenge. Take Ottomans, they are the easist pick for sure but if you go 80 point challenge? I would say the hardest because of the lacking diplomatic research you are very likely to be enemies with rest of the world. Hungary and Moldovia spams where you cant really reach out their cities and while you think you breathe from east countless legions invade anatolia? Without enough talents and stack of drums I cant see an easy way of doing this.
So far my takes are a fully upgraded Justinian is a must and you have to befriend at least venice and bosnia at the start so save some gold.
And that aq koyunlu episode starts either at turn 15 or before if you defeat the Karaman.

Yup, I just finished Ottoman this morning. Many things I noticed which I will add to the guide:
1. I was going for Eastern Empire, meaning I needed Nicosia, which sadly slipped over and Karaman got it, so I had to defeat Karaman (easy as their capital is quite exposed as Ottoman), and Aq Qoyunlu joined immediately after... making things way harder as this invader is no joke and Ottoman struggles with population to fight properly in all frontiers.
2. Defeating the golden general who is in lead from crusaders halves the morale of all of the other crusaders.
3. Constantinople is a ***, every two attacks, it recovered 420 hp. Up to some turn in which it no longer did (I think it was until the Constantine dialogue triggered, which I noticed its just a Byzantine morale boost, but thats it)
4. Turn 13, Vlad will do a speech and Wallachia will turn against you. I was allies with them (and bribed so that they joined against Hungary) and luckily, this just reset them to 0, which I could bribe easily again for peace so that they'll keep on focusing on Hungary.
5. Turn 14, Moldavia has the speech, and becomes allies with Wallachia, but they will not share the same enemies as I thought.

Do I understand it correctly that it is possible now to spend 22 compasses and reset all rewards in challenge conquests?
The amount of compasses is significant but as I see we can buy them in our regular shop too.

The only good reason to do so imo is the infinite amount of chain armor we apparently need / obviously want, but the game hardly provides. Rise of byzantium should be the easiest arena for that i guess... Edit : also not all cost 22, there are some for much less. Chain armor for 16 in rise of byz. for example. Keeping the compass cost down might be worth it to pick not the easiest nation idk.
