I notice that when I put units near a fort near a newly captured city (like Stalingrad or Moscow in 39), the fort tends to attack cities. However, in the nuclear era, UK randomly nuke things, from a cheap general to a capital. So I concluded that AI has some kind of priority. Just in case someone has put this into a test, is this true? If so, how can I exploit this behavior?

Yes. UK always nukes Poland for any of there cities so avoid Polish cities or the country Poland if you are WTO. If Nato try to time your attack right with these very random nukes. The fort thing just leave a cheap infantry there until you defeat the country like SU.

I suspect that the Alien AI is either the same or very similar to the "human" AI opponents.
The main difference would be the units available for the AI being programmed to use.

AI will just target at what they think is worthy, (I've heard nightmares about guderian and Erwin Johannes Eugen Rommel, being nuked of the face of the earth) or just to annoy the hell out of you so you decide which is more important

That is very true I had Guderian, Eisenhower, and Manstein in a 1960 conquest and Eisenhower was the only one the survive so in 1960 I suggest a decent tank general like Eisenhower.

haha xD i love the way uk acts in 1960. They just keep nuking cities after cities which make my 1960 NATO conquest so much easier.
