Ludwig von Mises, I would get a second opinion on that. It seems highly unlikely and IAPs are tied to your account so why not restore/recover them? Unless of course you create a new account, but this wasn't the question. I've never done this but I'm certain there is a way and there might be some players around here who can tell you from experience and how to do it.

If you still have the codes to redeem the purchase I don't think it will reset, but as a F2P player, I'm not 100% sure, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
