Now I want Tzimiskes to be an IAP general and his weapon only unlocked after reaching PoS lvl 70. So, that all players could curse 🤬 them. I really hope this Breado guy is wrong... Maybe they created something stronger than Richard and they want to nerf it on purpose using POH. . I hope he can be powerfull even whitout his Unique weapon , he can be buyed with medals and have a hero legend , i hope they will not put IT on POS , maybe IT will be in POQ or POC . |

Genghis, Timur, and Su Dingfang are stronger than Richard already. No, I was talking about charging cavalry generals, where Richard, sadly, is the apex predator. You are absolutely right, but templars are realy the game changers not Richard himself. My Alfred and Nevsky do the job of just fine. You can live without Richard and templars... |

I can be wrong, but my guess is that his active skill will be similar to those of Subutai, but based on cavalry points. If so the difference between having his unique weapon and not having it is really huge. For example, Subutai attacks 2 opponents every 2 turns without his weapon. But when his unique weapon is equipped, he attacks 3 opponents every turn and his damage is twice as high. Plus John doesn't get 20% damage bonus when commanding his special unit and two of his cavalry skills can't reach their max level. If you ask me John without his unique weapon is very close to Edward. That means he'll be sitting on the bench most of the time. Nevsky, Alfred, Li (at least his weapon is theoretically obtainable), and, probably, Roland will be better f2p options. I don't say about p2w players who have half a dozen more alternatives. No, I am afraid, that without his special weapon John will be another decent cavalry general. We have many decent cavalry generals and only a couple of good ones. I really hope ET won't make this blunder. |

Yes, but Richard’s crown also gives +20% attack bonus and I think it’s the only unique item for cavalry to do this (while the others boost damage reduction). I have to opportunity to test every general maxed in the game since a whale asked me to complete his Timur legends hard some time ago and I compared the different generals together. |

Was anyone able to read information about John's active skill? It sounds like something completely new. But 5 turns cooldown (without a weapon) is a rather long period of time, imo.

Okey, so after over two months, we'll be soon getting 1.8 update.
So it looks like 1 new conquest (similar to the last one we currently have, but less focused on middle east and more on Europe, but it looks very big indeed), new features for it (screen looks very crowded there with icons after he zooms out on second 15)
Epic battles (like in Great Conqueror I'd guess), they'll bring with this update some mythical units as well or not really?
We also saw some special new tile, Spike Traps, which William can place in exchange for 3 mobility points. This isn't smt new, we previously saw mines on previous ET games, but maybe these are different. Maybe this addition will also make some of the new maps have these around?
A few new generals, at least two new Hero Legends. The other general showcased also a new skill, which seems to drastically reduce damage taken by ranged attacks, but it also looks like you can use it on a nearby hero, not just itself.
A new campaign based on some fight against the Ottoman, likely an fight against another Muslim faction. The general shown on this campaign is John I Tzimiskes, which is a Byzantine general and then briefly Emperor, which is odd to show for this mission as the faction being played looks Muslim.

One campaign. Couple of gens (meh)
One conquest. Or and two more missions called epic battle.
Such a long waiting for absolutely standard update.
