Replaced lvl3 gems with lvl5 gems and as I understand I only received damage increase due to a higher level of the gems, not to the bonus it should provide. |

I have tried myself now to use level 5 gems and it didn't work. Still +5% dmg. You missunderstood. You still can't increase the level of the existing skill. But with max gems You now receive not lvl1 additional skill, but lvl2 additional skill. I tried it with Justinian Lobbyst (he already has Lobbyst lvl2) I gave him max gems for Lobbyst and it says Acquired skill Lobbyst lvl2. Gems do not take into account what skills You already have. If I see it correctly lvl4 gems can already provide with lvl2 of new acquired skill. What about lvl 5 gems? Is it possible to aquire lvl 3 skills? |

I don't think it works with every unit. But will be nuts if we, for example, add level 5 gems to Richard and have +10% dmg with Knights Templar (a total of +30% dmg) |

Is it possible to aquire lvl 3 skills? , jonblend I found out that I can forge lvl5 set for Ranged Tactitian skill. And now I can confirm that max lvl gems only provide lvl2 skill. At the same time lvl4 gems for this skill gives only lvl1 ranged tactitian. But my lvl4 gems set for Charging cavalry expert provides lvl2 charging cavalry expert skill. So there is a discrepancy here. It seems that some skills can be acquired at lvl2 with gems lvl4 and some only with lvl5. I have no idea why is that so. |

If the lvl 1 skill needs lvl 2 gems, lvl 2 skill can be activated with lvl 4 gems, i think. For example, for nordic heavy axemen you need lvl 2 gems for lvl 1 skill, and, as i've showed previous, i have put lvl 4 gems and i've obtained lvl 2 skill. I have not tested this theory with other skills however.

After doing some testing, it seems that it is every two full gem levels ahead you are of the gem lvl requirement.
Need lvl 3 gems to obtain a +10% on a lvl 1 gem requirement skill.
Need lvl 4 gems to obtain a +10% of a lvl 2 gem requirement skill.
I did also a few of lvl 1 gem requirement skill using lvl 5 gems instead (hoping maybe it gives a +15%) but nope, it is capped for now at lvl 2 (+10%).
Some skills (like bonus damage on plains or deserts, remain with a +5% nevertheless, which kinda makes sense as there's no levels for those as normal skill)
And if it was not known yet, I did also test if there are lvl 6 gems. But nope, after getting 3 lvl 5 gems, the button "Craft" on this case remains disabled.

Holy fk, I got v scared for a second.
I almost overwrote my previous from testing file with the one I had bought 260 administration gems when trying to download it instead. Huge thanks to who added that warning message, you're the best.

Seeing as these missions are part of new updates, I need to let out just how much I hate the puzzle missions like Siege of Bursa and Expedition to Kert. Ugh. That's not tactics, that's inane mission replays.

Wow, this new update for bug fixes actually breaks the small rewards you're supposed to get in conquests, like upgraded city or number of recruitments.
