How you use Timur, only with 3 ranged cavalry? If you can unlock Rapid march with gems - then it is possible to use any ranged units you like. So far, I think that 3 f2p archers - Timur, El Cid and Subutai -are very close in power. Subutai's weapon is kind of p2w but his active skill is probably the best in the game. |

Ruby gems a very hard to find, for rapid March we need 162 ruby lvl 1, it's a long way to get it. PS. I'm asking because my ranged cavalry not so good, I don't think what good idea to use at him 3 Heavy armoured Assault cavalry lvl 12,or 3 Camel archers lvl 9, or 3 elephant archers lvl 6, combination of this 3 units also bad, and movement 8, it's terrible. PPS. Maybe use my favorite combination 1 Var + 1 Ravenna + 1 Conquistadors better then use ugly ranged cavalry? |

It was the main factor why I relocated all my resources to upgrade Imperial cavalry. I would rather replace Varangians with Woad warriors though. Woad+Ravenna+Conquistadors are a good combination for now. Timur is an exceptionally good archer, and Varangians are out of place in his legion. |

Considering that there are plenty of forest terrains you may use 1step+2attacks combination using Woad more often than with Mongolians |

Lvl 10-12?! Lvl 8 maximum!  PS. Maybe unlock mamluks, and up both lvl 6, it's a good idea, but now I decide not to rush, waiting for 10 fragments after next hard campaign. I can do this at anytime if I have resources and don't spend them now. Heavy armoured assault cavalry good shield for now, only miss repeated fire, which good for this setup. Woad raiders weapon also sucks, javelin, but bonus from gems for this unit are cheap. Ok for now. 👌   |
