Holy moly, how do i start with him?
First off, he come in 1941, a very late time to get.
Secondly, he is expensive as all general? 3rd most expensive general with 950 medal? I guess he have good stats, right?
WRONG! The only thing good in him is just gold blitzkrieg, and that's not even worth 950 medal! If you want a gold PL, better get Monty or even better, Roko. Silver PL is just not worth and gold AS just works with SF unit, not the overall unit itself?
But what about the movement? Not even that worth. Let's face it, is 3 star tank on Roko matter? Absolutely not! He has gold AA and gold PL, the most OP stats in tank general after PG itself.
Tl,dr: Patton trash, don't even need to spend 950 medal to get him, better get Monty or Roko for the best allied tank general, I recommend Roko more, though xd

Also, if you want the general that mentioned far more in campaign general slot, better get Monty. He got 3 campaign slots (1939,1941 NA,1944) rather than roko which just 1 (1941 EF)

In Army Group, Patton on Panther cannot do more than 80 damage whereas Guderian on same Special Forces regularly hits over 100. Monty and Roko are cheaper, so you can save some medals for other generals.

The only reason why Patton best second tank general tbh is his Blitzkrieg otherwise he sucks For this i really reccomend to get either Vatutin or Rokossovsky or Monty Yes yes i know Vatutin slow but damn his damages is good and remember u can upgrade SF mobility so....

Patton's 3 stars in movement are also nice, whereas Vatutin has none.

For MT, even though Vatutin is slow and has no survivability, he hits exremely hard, like a mini-Guderian, and unless you are putting him into a dire situation, you can deal with his movement and try to heal Vatutin. Patton's PL also can counteract some of his Blitzkrieg, leaving you praying for Blitz to be triggering on a PL turn.

The movement is very useful, and sometimes even Guderian dies quickly, so Vatutin has weak survivability. Extremely is quite a strong word, especially with a general that, from experience, doesn't really have amazing output.

MTs also don't appreciate the extra damage and are rather expensive, unlike infantry. Movement stars also are somewhat negated with SFs. Vatutin offers more than Patton.

Well, SFs can die rather quickly when you have no survivability. PL silver ain't gonna do much damage to the MT Patton is on. Vatutin has more damage, but Patton has survivability and movement. Patton can also kill SFs. Blitzkrieg and the extra promo star is better then the amount of survivability Vatutin has (Desperate).

Sometimes I treat Patton's PL as both anti-armor and TOI in one turn as it does potentially double the damage he does in one turn. But 12% chance to trigger...

Patton's SF's aren't going to be doing too well either. Patton is a sitting duck when it's not your turn, dealing mediocre damage and taking hits. Vatutin can provide damage, with survivability being less of a concern (still a concern) as he is on a tank. SFs will die quickly anyway, unless it's on Rommel's 2 stack HTs in a city surrounded by MTs.

First, SF costs stack up, and Patton is both less attached to them and gives them a tad better survivability. Mediocre damage is remedied by silver PL and Accuracy. Patton has better lineups and is arguably better at gen-killing due to AS. I ain't saying that Patton is better, just that Vatutin ain't God incarnate.

Mediocre damage is unaffected by AS, as AS only targets the already fragile SFs. PL only has a 12% chance of giving him 1 more mediocre attack and he has to take another hit. Patton's lineups are remedied by other generals also in that lineup (Monty). AS is a mediocre skill only suited towards tank SFs IMO, as they are the only tough SFs. Tanks are also more of Vatutin's specialty with his AA. Obviously Vatutin isn't God incarnate, that's Ushijim--- erm, Manstein.

Fragile SFs may still need to be cracked, especially in elite where Rommel is on a 2 stack E-100. Monty is a HT gen and Roko, we can both agree, is better than Monty. AS helps a tad against even inf SFs, but not that much. Also, your tank may attack again after killing an SF, so AS may be useful in that way. Vatutin, Ushijima and Manstein all aren't Jesus's second coming, that would be Terauchi, Boris or WC3 Patton.

SFs are easily destroyed, which does not help AS' viability. Cracked by what? A gust of wind? Rommel on a E-100 is easier to be dealt with by Vatutian (AA). Only Patton is better to fight the E-100, not Rommel himself. It's more useful to fight Rommel than to eliminate his SF (which Vatutin still effectively does). With 2 HTs (which in '44 there likely will be), Monty can become an effective Roko 2.0. Inf SFs are already shredded by HTs, and really by any high-powered unit. Your tank can attack after killing an SF? Really? I have never had that happen, but maybe I just don't remember.
