I can't figure out how to get the medals that give +1 abilities to the unit types...I've accomplished all of the challenges of chapter 3 in conquest (1914), so winning with a 3, 2 and 1 star countries plus the other five that they ask, and they still don't show.

Hey there,
From what I understand you must have at least an A-rating to attain the medals. I'm not sure how they calculate rating but by my guess, it's a combination of your performance in different fields during the gameplay. I make sure I have the most funds, that all my deployed generals survive (preferably get them to star experience level), assist allies throughout the game, and make sure to end relatively quickly. If you have a clear victory that didnt last more than 150 rounds, you should be fine (depending on the star country).
Check your War Log in the lower left hand corner in Conquest Challenges to check your scores. It should be at least A to get the reward.
