Im trying to understand how the Defense stat works. Is Heavy & Light armor combat modifiers disconnected from the actual numerical value? Is it a flat damage reduction? If so, is per unit or per stack?
Thanks

Wow that seems convoluted. I was trying to figure out wether I should pick Life or Defense for my Legion upgrade next. I guess Ill just toss a coin.

This question is much easier to answer: HP (You can and probably should max both attack and movement on all units and put the remaining points into HP)

How do you reach this conclusion when the Defense stat i so non-transparent? Experience? For Cavalry I can see some value for Health because it gets a larger HP boost per point invested (compared to infantry). Which is why Im considering Defense for infantry instead...
Yes, Mobility and Attack Ive also found the most useful.

Yes, Mobility and Attack Ive also found the most useful. Well there is the damage formula (3rd link and 2nd) and kanue did a spreadsheet (1st link) to show the effect of defense stat -> each additional point becomes less impactful the higher the stat is whereas HP remain constant and scale with stacks added to the legion.
