[ Yes, because (as for now) only with Charles you can reach Subutai’s unique without getting extremely lazy. With a ludicrous amount of useless unit’s fragments From the above mentioned 1000 scrolls I only got 2 levels in POH (LOL!) . This is very good . |

It should be 17,500 medals for 1000 scrolls if we buy 10 for 175 medals, Ralyks , Also the mechanics are imo not totally correct, we get the guaranteed t5/t6 only if it's not part of the 10 pull and not the other way around (<->one guaranteed and then 10% chance on top for a second). And templars for souls is one of the worst t6 deals, so if we want them, it's better to get them from territory shop. This is usually the best way to get a single unit type (less medals but some luck as far as what appears in the shop compared to buying 10 fragments directly).
The charm of mercenary orders is that we get more potentially useful units than just templars. Though not hunting for them, unlocking Keshig will help all rapid march support generals, as well as hospitalier and teutonic knights. Boyars are welcome for Nevsky and other charge cav gens. Collecting Mongolian raiders might or might not benefit Subutai. Newer players certainly are happy if varangians and noble cav are part of the results. And I wouldn't throw away lombardy halberdiers before we see how good Robert the Bruce is. Compared to having to buy them (for example templars and one or more of the t5 units mentioned above) with medals or silver coins, mercenary orders provide much more value.
But that's like selling one of your many cars: You get the money on the market for a used car but in order to get a new one you'd have to pay much more. So its value is more about maintenance cost and how much you actually use it. Now you either find justified purposes for all of the less used ones or only drive one/two main cars like stoic does. 
Oh and I consider myself a casual re-roller who does excessive sessions from time to time (last when templars were released) but mostly I don't use my resources unless they are needed to progress or there is a good opportunity to trade them.
Lombardies are swissmen lite and you’ll always find them in Territory shop (almost 2 per day). They’re one of the best bonus unit you can get (in F2P I can recall Alfred, Timur, Basil and now Nevsky have units you don’t almost regret having in your legion: like with Cnut’s Viking raiders). |

Today i finished Nevski hero legend in hard mode and i resched in triumphs 95 times and from 30 mercenary orders i get 1 Hengdao Batalion , 1 genoese shielded crosbowman and 1 war elefants , many Woad raiders and some T4 units fragments and 2 days ago i upgraded Woad raiders to lvl 15 .I reached yesterday POS 29 and TODAY i am still there . IT is too hard . |

Today i finished Nevski hero legend in hard mode and i resched in triumphs 95 times and from 30 mercenary orders i get 1 Hengdao Batalion , 1 genoese shielded crosbowman and 1 war elefants , many Woad raiders and some T4 units fragments and 2 days ago i upgraded Woad raiders to lvl 15 .I reached yesterday POS 29 and TODAY i am still there . IT is too hard . I mean there is no need to be discouraged. It was meant to be that hard. This Proof of Soldiers feature was programmed to be p2w. If someone who doesn't have Charlemagne, and many hundreds (if not thousands) additional mercenary orders ( and don't forget that pay players have significantly more of them than any f2p players and they can buy any amount of them they like, without compromising the strength of their teams, while f2p players have other priorities) can ever unlock Subutai's weapon, - it will be an achievement to be proud of. I don't want to sound pessimistic but the overwhelming majority of f2p players will not unlock it. I accepted this fact and happy with what I have |

It is always helpful to think outside the box. There are exceptionally good units no-one is talking about. Readily available to any players. War Elephants, for example. If a cavalry general has Rapid March (it can be unlocked with lvl 4 gems too eventually) they are an excellent addition to the legion. There are at least two f2p generals with f2p weapons (Alexios and Alfred) who can use them with great success. And we have Raid with Elephants, they are often in our Territory shop, and we get them occasionally while opening our mercenary orders. Many sources, many opportunities to use... Great unit but requires polishing... Ps. Oh, And I have forgotten about Lancelot he can be an excellent Elephant driver too  |

Like You said war elefants are powerfull units , they are good only whit generals like Alexios Alfred and Lancelot . |

As a person who is passionate about dismantling almost everything I can support kingbutawl as well. Rerolling process is extremely boring and requires inhumane patience that many of us don't possess If your name is not yuanzhong I wouldn't expect brilliant results from rerolling 😉 Isn't his rule of 4 5-level units or more(maybe his rule may be smth else but I think it was min 4 and max 6) By his rule I haven't gained templar... But Yes mamlukes are coming in and The dogde is cool, once I gain enough power I will be able to complete the last mission for The imperials |

IT will be some months before You can reach Subutai weapon , whitout purchasing mercenary orders , but for p2w players this is easy .
