Just created a table for comparison of range generals capability points and dmg bonuses.
May be helpful before buying or boosting one or another ranged general.
Input data: General with max rank + his 10lvl unique equipment. Without bonuses from gems. Skills, bonuses, and points are counted only those that are useful for ranged units dmg.
Column " Total with most suitable equip" display stats with 1 additional weapon that will be most probably used with the general (+6/18/24 with +1 lvl for skill boost). For example Timur with England Longbow. For Nur Din and Robin Hood secong dmg value is a value with activated Archer Mastery 4lvl.

Good job Thanks So my question is that why everyone say that Attila is best IAP general for combat although he has worse skills even than El Cid

Good job Thanks So my question is that why everyone say that Attila is best IAP general for combat although he has worse skills even than El Cid Attila is good not only because of his capability, but also skills - Plain expert, Leadership and Rapid March - all of them quite useful. He's more versatile than Timur for example, despite doing less dmg

I think that the value of Attila and Robin diminished a bit because horse archers are more powerful that foot archers. And both Ravenna crossbowmen and Woad skirmishers are easily killed in any such encounter. I think they should buff foot archers in general, but my suspicion is that they will just release new overpowering units instead of reworking old ones.

Agreed, foot archers are inferior to mntd archers

Good job Thanks So my question is that why everyone say that Attila is best IAP general for combat although he has worse skills even than El Cid He’s one of the best generals for campaigns and conquest farming because he’s available ( all: general, unique weapon, unit) after 1st chapter completion. With him it’d be much easier to grind, whereas other generals like Timur or El Cid are better in endgame battles or expedition modes (when all chapters and conquests are completed)

Foot archers are better for grinding (capturing cities, farming conquests, defeating weak enemies). They have a skill for 25/30% target defense decreasing. There are mostly regular infantry and cavalry units in campaigns/conquests, and they are the best against them.

I'd argue charge cav and mounted archers do better job there Charge cavalry and mounted archers have lower mobility (they don’t have forest and mountain mobility skills) than 2 archers + scout cavalry + rapid march. In addition, any cavalry or melee units receive damage from counterattacks, whereas achier units may destroy enemies without any damage for them.

I always told you Nur Din was a good general. Mine works just fine Can you show your setup and its units? Thanks. Units: MA-MA-MR (when I have at least lvl9 IBC I’ll add him in the legion). Items: Narses’ unique item lvl 6 with 2 yellow gems, the blue bow with +6 ranged points and stop. He’s not a front-liner, but he deals ~800 damage which his active on

Small remark: this gems combination gives additional 10% dmg (5+5)
