This one is pretty hard, cuz Monty suicides himself before I get to auchinleck. I was a bomber reinforcement or two from defeating that man, but I used it for Alexander instead. Help me through this pain, my forces get halted in Derna, and I had to rebuild after the expedition to Benghazi and Mechili, and that made me waste two turns on rebuilding.
I might be doing smth wrong cuz I always late on Auchinleck, so give me guide

After like many retries on that elite mission, I may give what I know so far.
It's important that almost all of your troops should rush the first city in the north. The british infantry there haven't been equipped with special forces yet, so you need to take them out on the first turn. Alexander's position in the far north basically forces you to rush him as soon as possible otherwise he will move towards the east to escape if he gets spotted. There is a huge army of enemies blocking your way to Alexander, further slowing you down. A heavy tank to clear the weaker units (especially infantry) and a light tank to go after Alexander. An infantry general (ideally MacArthur or Yamashita) on an airborne unit is essential to catch Alexander with the light tank and block him from moving to the east.
From your first turn, you could send a light tank and a light artillery (plus some supply point units) to assist Rommel. Your troops and his army can atleast clear out everything until you reach the fallen italian stronghold city. And this is where you will encounter Montgomery. I agree that Monty will always suicide at that point if you keep your allies alive long enough.
There is a small chance that Rommel's heavy tank will go straight to the northeastern city, which is the next city you have to attack. It takes a few turns just to clear the enemies out in Alexander's area. I think by this point, you may likely have enough time to make it to Auchinleck.
The aircraft carrier that you can get at the very start can really help you out only in the northern areas. There is a blockade of enemy ships to the northeastern waters, rendering your carrier useless to assist the final assault on the last cities.
In the center when your troops and Rommel's army have reached the fallen stronghold city, it is ridiculous that there are a ton of enemies waiting to push back. Rommel's tanks (if they are healthy enough) can mow down the enemy infantry units there, but his tanks will easily get destroyed by Monty and his armored division UNLESS your troops act as Rommel's buffer units. If the enemies coming from the central stronghold city are not weakened enough, then they will very likely slow down your northern troops attacking eastwards.
That's all I can say
