I am in Pacific 1945, and have Guderian, Leeb, Yamashita, Rundstedt, Rommel, Rokossovsky, Govorov, MacArthur and Bradley. I refuse to get a navy or air general (at least until elite). The discord told me to get Patton. What is your opinion?
My current consideration list:
Patton
Vatutin
Monty
Badoglio

Have fun with LA. I would have to say get Monty (or, if funds are an issue, Vatutin), then a third Axis infantry, then a third Allied infantry. Allied Infantry is invaluable in Pacific. Axis Infantry wins because of its sheer versatility and paratroopingness. Under no circumstances get Patton. His PL and stars are good but Blitzkrieg is terrible and Accuracy Strike is mediocre at best. Vatutin wins just because he works really well for his price. |

Josip Broz Tito, yes to monty. maybe also slim (good but not a must) badoglio seems logical. i rly must ask why you avoid so incredibly fun to play gens like kesselring though

Why no navy/air gen? I find it hard to see how any of the generals on the list can get you un-stuck. (that is if you're even stuck at all?)

Why no navy/air gen? I find it hard to see how any of the generals on the list can get you un-stuck. (that is if you're even stuck at all?) I am on New York and Leyte Gulf. I should be fine. Might need navy/air gens for star campaigns. if you try to challange yourself i would instead of missing out on awesome gens and fun gameplay not limit myself on generals but rather not upgrade their hp rank as that was sth from later patches anyway and cant be reversed. i rly regret doing it bc it feels like cheating if you did it all without hp boost once before. so my rec is to play the og version of the game without hp, but with all army types and gens bc what are the pacifik war campaigns without islandhopping, airstrikes and battleships... just more of the same stuff you already played in every other mission. imo. if it even is the case that you try to challange yourself. |

I actually just beat LA without any navy or air. I bought Doenitz, but did not use him, just bought him for the navy medal.

Again, I only got Doenitz and Nimitz for the navy medal. I am not done with campaign though, so we’ll see. |
