So I have been inspired by Hangrybirds attempt at trying to get as far into the game as possible with going over the tech limit and only using the generals you get from the game and now I am going to try that challenge myself and see how far I can get before I get stuck on a particular mission for a while or I just give up so here are rules in detail
rule#1: When you play on a mission from a certain campaign I will be required to stay below or right on the tech level or otherwise I lose the challenge for example: In eastern front 1941 the tech limits are 3/3/3/2/2 You can choose to upgrade tech level to a degree but it can't be more than what the campaign specifies or you will generally be too overpowered and steamroll missions no problem. In case you don't which number is for what tech this is how it is organized Infantry/Armor/Artillery/Navy/Air force
rule#2: You can't have any special forces be over the tech level or promote them for when you are going through this campaign such as Pacific 1942: level 3 or Western 1939: level 1. The reason behind is because there are certain special in which like with upgrading your tech level the units equipped with a special forces that is over the level can be a bit overpowered but not as if you were to exceed the tech limits but still, just sightly overpowered. so in nutshell rule#2 is just like rule #1 but except with special forces.
rule#3: You can only use the generals in which the game provides you with, this is add more to the challenge because often at times using an general that you buy with medals can make a mission a whole lot easier for example if you bought Guderian to which he is a pretty good tank general and use it on a mission his abilites and medals on tank can sweep enemies relatively quick and do a ton of damage (watch bruchminati's videos on glory of generals 3 and you will see my point) and that is also to line up with the title of the thread. Similarly to rule#2 you cannot promote any of the free given generals as this does make them more harder to kill for enemies which allows you to be able to easily your other manage units that don't have general making the prospect of making a tough a call on having a unit stay behind to heal up sacrifice it be less stressful to say the least.
rule#4: No using irl money to get literally anything because that automatically can give you an advantage
rule#5 You have to prefect clear the entire theater before moving onto the next theater, this means that you must prefect clear every level in the theater. I unlike Hangrybird have an exception to this particulary rule which is that you must prefect the current level you are on before the next one in order from the list on the right side of the section when you go to choose the next mission, In case you don't know which level goes next after you complete the current one check the list goes from top to bottom. Now about my exception which is that if you happen to be stuck on a certain level and there happens to be so that there are other levels you can do besides the one you are actively doing you can chose to do it if the level does not grant you a new special forces otherwise if you do it and it grants you a special forces after completion just remember to not use it on the level that is chronologically the next one you have to do, Again in order to know which level is next chronologically check the right hand side of the campaign mission choosing section there will be a list showing which mission plays which is the top and which plays last which is the bottom one so scroll through there and find out which one you chronologically you need to do first.
Finally thats all the rules, in the next post it will show all the tech/special forces upgrade limits for each theater and what generals you are allowed to use in that theater. Overall the goal is to get as far into the game as possible. Good day and thank for taking your time to read this and I wish you good luck if you are going to try this challenge out.
