Can I sub in Richard in place of Alexander or is he overrated?? The problem with Richard or Alex is that they have not a Commander aura and are thus dependent upon Commanders such as Barbarossa, Peter, Petain etc. Richard has better skills than Alex, but Rumor and Logistics are far more expensive than Spy (the only skill of Alex you will probably upgrade) but promotion costs are in favor of Richard. I would keep Alex if you don't have enough medals to upgrade skills of Richard. |

Who has the better Survival and who will use gungnir the best? Obviously Richard has the better survivability in the long run. And both are good at using Gungnir. But, as I said, both require support from at least two Commanders late in the game. |

Then will I have to field 4 inf at a time? Isn't that too much? Also how many archers should I use? Two or three??

When I played with Infantry team, I deployed 4 Infantry generals (Caesar, Peter, Barbarossa, Alex), 3 archers (Nobunaga, Li, Nelson) one Artillery general (Li Shimin) most of the time. |

Is Li shimin good enough for artillery all the way upto industrial? Also should I upgrade Cleopatra to 3 or buy Khalid and upgrade him. I will probably get Li shimin. Also did you buy Li shimin first or did you get Caesar first

However if you are planning to use two - then Khalid/Heichachiro, Cleo/Khalid or Heihachiro/ Cleo are better options. Now, after Ust-Nera missions were released it is only a temporary decision, since we probably need all available Artillery generals to complete them. Caesar was my first general purchased in EW5 for medals ever  Infantry was highly underrated back then, no-one played with Infantry, so it was my determination to prove it is wrong  And these were times before Infantry was buffed as a class.
