Went in for a quick look at missions and stuff, was in loading screen and thought the internet was weak at first, but then "hero legend" was blocked and I received my daily bonus, how did this reset happen and how can I get my progress back?

Did you make a recent save using the Cloud Save function? It should work if the data isn't wiped.
