If I understand it correctly, Manstein could now replace either Govorov or Guderian as the No.1 Artillery or Tank, respectively. One could replace Panzer Leader with Tide of Iron or Artillery Barrage.

Yeah, Manstein's now just effectively a maxed tank EC. I'd say Zhukov now isn't far behind on artillery - with the full complement of meta artillery skills his only possible weakness compared to a max artillery EC he's only 2 less movement stars. Sad F2P noises.

Time to put Manstein back on tanks.

Zhukov: Infantry Leader, Defense Tactics, Tide of Iron -> lvl 4 Artillery Leader, lvl 4 Explosives, lvl 3 Desperate.
Eisenhower: Explosives, Sailor -> lvl 4 Organization, lvl 4 Shelter Expert.
Zhukov is now a very good artillery general. Eisenhower... I'd even consider it to be a nerf.

Wait, we could not change the skills out of our own preference?

Erich von Manstein, considering the new learnable skills and skill switch, should we update the generals guide?

The new skills do have some impact on the meta - an infantry EC might actually be good now. The skill switch doesn't change priorities much, it just makes the P2W generals all better.

Erich von Manstein, considering the new learnable skills and skill switch, should we update the generals guide? I can't say much about the buffed skills yet since the update isn't available on iOS right now. For the new skills, the only one worth using is Desperate, and I don't think it's objectively good. Organization and Early Warning are both good skills, but they don't belong to the ECs.

Infantry generals remain weaker than tank and artillery ones. The biggest beneficiary in this meta might be Horton, if there is a harder naval battle.

I think Manstein could now be a #1 Tank and still #2 Artillery, but since his new skill set is more expensive for a Tank EC, #1 Tank is better. Zhukov? A Konev but with Explosives. He could be our #2/3 Artillery Eisenhower? A Goring-Sansonetti hybrid. Can be still our navy-air, but Sansonetti is enough.
I think Manstein > Zhukov > Eisenhower.
