It's time for the World Cup of - cross country skiing! Well that too, but more significantly the Fifa World Cup. I'll go to sleep soon, but I'll write more tomorrow. Anyways, what do you think about this very unique (not in a good way btw) World Cup, who do you support and who do you think will win? And also, if you watched Qatar - Ecuador, what did you think?

I exactly don't know which team to support so I'll pick a random team. *Picks France* Go France go!! (You know that's not totally random). Also, WE NEED STILETT0's ANALYSIS!!

Beware they've got the reigning champion's curse. I can try to be a substitute analyst though. Okay, here's a quick overview of all countries from my pov. Qatar: They've quite literally bought a national team, but as Qatar - Ecuador showed us, they haven't got what it takes to compete in the World Cup and I expect them to take the title of the worst host ever by a clear margin. Ecuador: Caicedo's their clear star player, but I can't say Valencia failed to impress me against Qatar. They were very strong in the qualifiers, but I doubt they can grind a result against Senegal or Netherlands. Senegal: They got very unlucky with Mane's injury, but they were still able to dominate Netherlands, albeit losing 0-2. I'd be surprised if they won't finish second, but after that they'll very probably have to face England, which won't be easy. ...

I think mongolia will win idk man, Mongolia had a -24 goal differential in round two of the AFC qualifiers, so their chances don't look so good

Biggest surprise of the tournament, prove me wrong. Pretty big surprise, but Croatia went to the finals last time so once they went to penalties I knew Brazil was gonna lose. I think the biggest shock was either Morocco vs Spain though, especially cause Spain didn't score a single penalty

I think the biggest shock was either Morocco vs Spain though, especially cause Spain didn't score a single penalty But looking at the prematch situation of both matches we had a group winner against a passive posession team that had difficulties to make chamces in the group stage except against Costa Rica of course. Then in Brazil vs Croatia we had the biggest favourites against a Croatia side that is still good, but one that hadn't won a single match except against Canada and one that lacked any attacking threat. But once they got to penalties, I agree, it was finished for Brazil.

I think mongolia will win Agree, defensively they're on the top. Guam strikes me as a strong team too though and I can't decide between the two of them.

Plus as a Canadian we have first hand experience with Croatia and Morocco lol

Don't underestimate: It is now a knock-out-system and Croatia was always a great team.
Netherlands - Agentinia this sounds great - If it was a final, the Netherlands will loose...
