Can someone who has completed it give me some advice how to protect those 3 suicidal generals?
They are all over the map, waiting to be killed
PS: I have tried it all (Baldwin + generals with support and heal skills) but failed to protect more than 2 of them
Here's how I did it f2p and with 3 out of 4 surviving:
Preparation: accumulate 50 war drums. Use cloud save so you can come back if things go wrong (or you want to use the thing one doesn't talk about).
-Subutai (+1 mob, yellow gems) on charge cav + 2x archer: dismiss cav and buy one longbow for better movement
-Narses (+1 mob, yellow gems) on ranged cav + 2x archer
> these two are to capture the south eastern city and avoid getting killed/loosing units by the incoming units and charge cav general. Give them orban cannons (lv1) when they reach their destination (and maybe defensive gear along the way)
-Bruce (green/blue gems and def inf combo): move to castle in first turn, later hold SW city
-general that may not die: move to the NW city and hold it with him
-spawn general Timur with IBC, mamluk, woad raider (+1 mob, yellow gems and woad+10% combo): equip const. hammer lv3 so he can move 4 tiles each turn and go directly to NW city. Once parked next to it, change gear to Rhino lv3 next turn (12 mob still) so you can attack 3 times and move in as well
-Cid (mob+1, yellow gems) on melee inf + 2x archer: He needs to protect the northern "suicidal generals" by blocking their way and killing/damaging the enemies that come for them
-Fred (Basil weapon, blue/yellow gems) on melee inf/ranged cav: same job as Cid, and use his skill when there is an opportunity to give one unit to allied red circle generals
-create one swordsman on first turn and put healer so you can heal once
-create one melee cav on second turn for baldwin (alfred weapon, purple gems): use him to move around your/allied units to conserve mobility on Cid and block enemy's access to target generals
Use defensive war drums and war gear freely but keep in mind that you need 12 points for the final siege gear on turn 6/7!
I had normans 9, longbow 9 and garter3; if you can get higher levels, allied gens might survive longer. All regular units at highest possible lv.
