Germany's midfield was absolutely invisible this game and their defense had to bail them out a lot. Japan had speed so they were able to exploit this, and their subs were fresh so they could just run through the area easily.

Even before the game there apparently was serious doubt about the German team performance and cohesion.
Still it's a huge win for japan football since they normally don't perform all that well and Germany is a 4 times world champion.
Second big upset in the tournament after Argentina shock defeat, wonder how many more surprises this world cup will bring!
