JAPAN 1950 FULL GUIDE
Hello everyone! After playing countless runs of Japan 1950 conquests to farm resources, I've decided to make a guide for everyone who wishes to farm resources for the tech tree.
First, the requirements. You will need a few good land generals (like Guderian), and one naval general, but NO air generals are needed for this guide. I personally use Messe, Leeb, Konev, Guderian, Rommel, Rundstedt and Nimitz, with all the tank and arty generals having Level 3 to 5 Rumour. Having fewer generals is not lethal, it simply slows you down in the early game. With my generals I can finish in about 35-40 turns.
TURN 1:
- Basically this
TURN 2:
- VERY IMPORTANT build financial centre in Tokyo
- Use the cruiser with Toyoda to take the Shanghai port (if it's free), move and strike Pyongyang if it's not
- Get the infantry general on land
- Move your other generals towards South Korea
- Build tier 2 submarine in the northernmost port
TURN 3 TO (around)10:
- Spam subs at Nagasaki only (you won't need more in the north, USA and Canada will deal with it for you, just paradrop from Sapporo if the city happens to be empty), also try to kill the carrier asap
- Only land in South Korea, the Chinese generals will start walking into the sea, and your subs can start trolling
- Put your naval general on a 2 stack cruiser at Nagasaki at some point
- (ULTRA IMPORTANT) capture Seoul, put your best tank gen (preferably guderian) on a 3 stacked heavy tank
- siege Pyongyang with one of the starting naval gens, but priority is enemy troops in the sea
- Keep at least 2 troops on the mainland to cycle around cities when they get to low health
If you don't own Seoul by turn 15, restart.
My turn 3 setup:
Toyoda about to troll Choe, 1950 (colourised)
Open Seoul (turn 7)
*guderian* has joined the battle! (all the chinese generals in this picture will be dead in 5 turns) (turn 9)
TURN (around)11 TO 20:
- just curbstomp china, their entire army died in the sea
- note: you can't nuke Dihua from Beijing
- spam nukes and (if you want) generals (you will need the nukes later, have at least 4-5 by turn 25)
"China? What's that?"
TURN 21 TO 30:
- curbstomp russia now, get to Yekaterinburg then nuke moscow until it's down, and paradrop into it
- Preferably nuke, missile and capture Minsk too (no more Soviet nukes)
- Fund France if it's dying
TURN 30 onwards:
- Nuke spam and capitulate Poland asap (poof goes all the Polish troops)
- Nuke the remaining cities and/or flatten them with troops (heavy tanks work best), missiles work too.
- Use all 5 of your nuke stations to pump out nukes, and go wild
- You should win on around turn 39(luck+skill)-50(if youre REALLY unlucky)
- You should still get S either way because of the number of cities you capture
My last run
I hope everyone enjoys this guide! This is my first time making a guide for WC4, I hope at least some can successfully use this strategy to beat Japan 1950 conquest. I personally use this to farm resources, it is very consistent with practice. Thank you to those who read till the end. ~teacup
