Bonjour monsieurs! First of all let me congratulate you for the high level of this forum. I really wonder there are so many freaks (such as me) of this game. I restarted my game when i started reading you (yes, i commited a huge ammount of the well-known nob mistakes), so my question is What should I do now?
I have more than 1000 medals and the chance to get Ney. I don´t have any general yet, so i´m starting to have problems finishingthe campaign missions with perfect victories (Trafalgar and Jena). What now? Should I get Ney (i was waiting for Golytsin), start playing the conquests to get princesses? or start grinding (i don´t really understand how it works elsewhere)?

Jean-Luc Picard, I have Bubna, Agha, Cosmao, Dornberg, Kruse and Senyavin (tier 1); Selim III, Platov, Joubert and Villeneuve (tier 2) and Barclay an Suchet in tier 3. I had finished Europe 1798 with France in 50 turns and got Sophia, so i have one general now. I also got two spins and let pass Ney and then (Dornberg, Berthier, Grouchy and one more (don´t remember who).

Thanks for answering tough. I suggest you spin tier-2 again (and have fun with Sophia meantime, you can keep using her right up until the end). Watch for Sulkowski, Golitsyn, Scharnhorst, and Dobeln, but check out the skills of anyone you see |

Jean-Luc Picard, Ok, is what i´ll do. it was Dobeln not Dornberg the one i had at the same time as Grouchy and Berthier. No remorse, get Golytsyn is now personal. And what next? Should I focus on princesses or will I neede to buy another general. What about the upgrading generals and when i should start grinding? I´ve been reading about and I don´t understand what is the idea. Sorry for asking so much (and altough the same questions of all the nobs), and thanks again.

Im currenlty grinding for 285 medals so i can get gotsliyn it hard work. Try Russia 1815 or something like Switzerland 1806/1809. Latter will be a pain but you'll be able to get tons of medals |

I,m realising that i should start using trainer generals better than Golytsin, which is better to fill the last slot Isn´t it? What should be then the "rational progresion"? I mean what generals will I need to end the game (the campaigns with perfect victories) and in which order should i buy them (including trainers).

Only reason because im getting Gotsyln is because i need a good cavalry general to get Sakaruko,Victoria and Lan.Once i get Lan im gonna have 2 cavalry generals and 2 artillery.But thats gonna take some medal grinding sadly  . |
