Hi all,
Simple question: are there any bonuses or advantages among troops? E.g. spears defeat cavalry; cavalry defeat archers; archers defeat spears; swords fight best against swords? I am interested to know this not just in Great Conqueror Rome but in other Easytech games as well.
Thank you

Every weapon has an advantage against a particular armor type. Here is an example

Hi Stoic,
Thanks for confirming, I had seen this, yes. Do you know what slash, pierce, thumb etc mean? I could not find those anywhere.

[...] Same in EW4, here it is called Unit restraint factor primary it is weappon against unit-class (Inf,Art,Cav...) but some cannons, like siege, coastal, have extra bonusses.

Hi Stoic, Thanks for confirming, I had seen this, yes.Β Do you know what slash, pierce, thumb etc mean? I could not find those anywhere.Β If you click on a weapon you will see what kind of weapon it is. For example, on uploaded screenshots the type of weapon is "pierce". So it is "piercing" an armor. Javelins and spears are usually piercing weapons. Swords are slashing weapons. And thumb is a type of weapon common to Elephants and slingers.

Oooh, OK! I thought these words meant something about positions, e.g. being surrounded by 1-2 troops, fully encircled etc. Thank you.
