EW7 has a ton of generals. Almost all of them never see the light of day because they're so trash. I'm currently debating over cavalry generals because they keep getting pumped out. (Que Yelu Dashi.) So I'm wondering what your top generals are for each category; melee infantry, (maybe) defense infantry, cavalry (in one), archers (in one), & support. Also, could you include a section for both with & w/o unique weapon? Thanks! Anyways, here's my listings: (By the way, if a general is not on the list, it means I put them out of commission.)
Melee Infantry: Cnut & Robert
Defense Infantry: Su
Cavalry: Baldwin, Richard, Gao, & Batu
Archers: Genghis, Caesar, Timur, & Edward
Support: Olga, Caesar, Justinian, Matilda, Eleanor, & Theodora
Just FYI, I know it really needs some work.

First of all, hello to all, as I am new to forum, however I completed almost all of Easytech games.
For me as a F2P best is this squad
Melee: Cnut and Basil,
Defense I don't use,
Cavalry: Roland and Alfred
Archers: Timur and El Cid
Support: Justinian, Theodora and Antonina.
I stated only two per category, as those two are most I use.

Let’s say about F2P, coz P2W has many choices.
The best general, should have at least, or more better, of:
1. A unique weapon.
2. A good skill set for his unit type.
3. A unique unit that good enough and easily upgraded enough.
4. Not so important but if he has high rank, title, capabilities… that helps coz we won’t have to invest tons of resources in him.

I agree to first 3 statements, but 4th is also really important, because by investing in general rank, you get capability points, and it is really great when you get around 30-40 CP to invest in general rather than 10-20.

I'd like to put Robert the Bruce as the best defense infantry one as He's yelu dashi but on infantry, slap some maodao some lombardy and literally any other thing and he will be a beast, for defending but again he's the only best f2p gen for defense infantry also we get his weapon quite early(before ch 8 so yea)

Also as time goes on Chinese and mongol gens will also join, Subutai cause after some time we will finally unlock his weapon as f2per, Chinese such as gao and yelu cause we gon get these weapons also who's better gai or yelu

First of all it is true that he is a beast, however as I was only recently starting to play EW7 (I started about 4 months ago because I was finishing last stuff to fully complete GCR until update came out.) I didn't have enough time to progress or complete what could be completed at time so I didn't get him. And I think that is where he falls behind Narses, Aetius or Belisarius who you get at beginning of game. In terms of Chinese and Mongolians I have no experience with them, and I won't say anything.

Well gens like aetius and narses are archers and while I'd say that Beli is a good one his weapon is stuck in poh which is why I betted on robert, also lombardy halbieders is a good one Narses is a hybrid general, who can serve as both archer and infantry, his unique weapon increases his both infantry and archer points, also his active skill Formation is also great for defense infantry, as it increases counterattack dmg, in terms of Aetius he is only defense infantry general, because of his skills. Now his problem is he don't have many capability points because he starts with Lieutenant II Rank and he doesen't have unique, but that can also be increased with Beowulf unique item because 1. item increases infantry points and add gems, 2. it increases morale, which is great for defense infantry becuase of increase of Counter unit ability chance. And also, I must say again, you need to get to chapter 13 to unlock Robert, and this is where Narses and especially Aetius are better than him, as both are unlocked at beginning of game, where Narses's unique item is unlocked at stage 16 of Conquest poh, which is not that far in the game. |
