I just did the first mission in Burning Crusade. Why on earth is the AI moving on its own? Is there a way to stop this? I know for fact it isn't cause I pressed the auto button cause I made sure it was off.

Is this the mission about defending one or two targets while defeating the enemy's?
Do you mean the defenders moving in to attack? The trigger should be defeating a few of the target ranged cav units, leading to the arrival of AI and allied reinforcements.

Maybe you set a waypoint? AI moves your units to the destination if movement points available.

I don't believe it's a fault on my end. I've tested on this map several times. It's actually where this issue most commonly occurs. It happened on one other map but I can't remember what it was. Anyways, the units (which are supposed to be under my command) are capable of moving, attacking, and in the case of the two generals, using their abilities. Is this not an issue for you guys? Just note this doesn't work if you've moved your units cause then the units have no mobility.
Test this out by literally not touching your units at all and spamming the turn button.

Also yeah, these units are mine. They're labelled with green, not blue.

mindblowing, lol. thx for clarifying. yes its the same for me but only ever the generals. so the red gen always attacks nearby enemies. the other gen doesnt move but if you move him next to an enemy he too will attack that unit. he also of his own accord returns to his starting position if there is no more enemy to attack the next turn. quiet fascinating. maybe this is also the case in more missions actually bc usually we use our soldiers and dont have them just sit and skip turns
